Chapter 11

Lady Louise observed Lucas with hatred in her eyes as Lucas glared at her.

“You think too highly of yourself young man, just like the woman your father married but look at her fate she died.” Lady Louise mocked him and Lucas tried to control his anger. “You are nothing in my eyes. Your reign was over the day your father died so don’t show your attitude towards me. And don’t forget you are at my nephew’s wedding.”

“Do you think you can get away with your mocking remark and for your kind information it is because of your nephew that I am keeping low or I would have killed you and thrown  your body to the vultures you b***h. You are nothing but an evil woman who destroyed my family, my mother was my dad’s beloved woman and you are nothing and never was and never will. I will spare you today but if I find you coming near to my sister I will find you and kill you.” Lucas roared and walked away from her without a backward glance.

“My mother was my dad’s beloved woman and wife and you are nothing and never was and never will.” These words were drumming in Lady Louise’s head and she clenched her fists tightly.

Her body was trembling with anger and her eyes and turned fiery red.

Just then a hand grabbed her from behind and pulled her away towards the exit.

Lucas strode out of the banquet hall and tried to control his anger but Eric was getting restless.

“How dare she speak to you in that way, let’s go and rip her apart. That vivacious b***h what does she think of herself.” Eric growled and Lucas was having a hard time controlling him.

“Calm down Eric, we need to lay low till our mission is over and today is a special day for Harry. And Harry has always been like an elder brother to me. We can’t mess up in his wedding buddy.”

“But she spoke ill about mom,” Eric growled.

“I know and we will avenge her but now it’s not the right time. Be calm or I will jump into the water to calm you down.”

 Eric groaned.

“Hahaha..” Lucas laughed out aloud thought his wolf was very funny, he hated getting in the water in the nighttime. He had some kind of a phobia and Lucas would always make fun of him. But that way he could control him very fast.

“All right it’s time to head back and look for Amelia or she will get worried.”

Meanwhile, Amelia had come out of the Banquet hall and was looking for Lucas as she did not find him inside the hall. She looked around and saw him standing far away near the fountain and walked towards him.

As she was crossing a path full of small decorative bushes suddenly something crossed her path all of a sudden.

She stopped and stood on her tracks thinking what was that? And she looked around curiously but couldn’t find anyone.

She shook her head and started walking and again the same thing happened. Now she was a little scared and started walking fast but suddenly an animal came and stood in front of her and for a moment she just stood there and looked at the scary-looking creature who had red eyes and she couldn’t even open her mouth to scream.

The animal started moving slowly towards her and she panicked and moved back.

She opened her mouth again but she couldn’t utter a word and the animal came closer to her.

She moved back and stumbled into something and was about to fall when a hand grabbed her body and pulled her up in his embrace.

Her eyes were closed as she was too scared and she did not notice that right behind her two men had walked in and were glaring at the animal and after some time all the three vanished.

Lucas relaxed his hand and whispered.

“Amy be careful when you walk, just now you would have hurt yourself.”

Amelia heard the familiar voice of her brother and opened her eyes.

“Lucas it’s you. I was so scared.” Amelia’s voice was trembling.

“Why are you sacred Amelia?” Lucas asked softly.

“I just was a strange animal with red eyes coming towards me, I felt like he would attack me and when I was moving backward I was about to fall but you saved me.” After that Amelia turned around but she couldn’t find anything. And she looked very confused. “Where did it go? It was right there.” She pointed out.

“Well, I just came by and did not find any animal around. Someone must have played a prank on you don’t worry.” Lucas tried to reason with her.

"But it was right here, I swear," Amelia said desperately.

"Like I said someone must have played a prank on you don’t worry.”

“What a lame excuse Lucas,” Eric smirked.

“What do you expect me to do? Tell her the truth. Do you think she will believe me? She will think I am a lunatic.” Lucas said unhappily.

“That’s the biggest challenge we have,” Eric said with understanding.

Amelia was still confused but she looked at Lucas and said. “you are probably right, I must have been overthinking. Let’s go home. I need to fly out early in the morning with Archie.”

“Aha…that’s great, you have finally agreed,” Lucas said hugging her sister.

“Yeah, I thought I should take a break.” Amelia smiled at him.

“All right let's go.” Lucas held her hand and they walked towards the parking.

Little did they know that lady Louise and another man came out of the bushes and had a smirk on their faces and they watched them walk away.
