Chapter Thirty-Five
“Yes, I did.” I blurted out the words in a rush before setting the glass of water beside me. I brought my hands up to cover my cheeks, not wanting Lucian to see how flustered my admission made me.
He chuckled before turning off the burner. It wasn’t the same kind of laugh as before. This one wasn’t a dark chuckle, just an easy one. I could feel through the bond that this made him happy and that made something inside of me feel almost content.
Like I had pleased him.
“Little bird, I may not have wanted to share you, yet.” He said, plating our lunch before he turned and stepped closer to me. “But, I want you to enjoy all your mates.”
