I gasped as I recognised the snake tattoo that covered the side of the man’s face. I was frozen still, realising that he had followed me here. He continued to step closer to me until his chest was almost touching mine.
“The boss said you were a feisty one and yet, you haven’t said a word” he breathed against me. My breath got caught in my chest as I smelt his musky aftershave.
“Who are you?” I managed to ask and he smirked at me. He took the cigarette from my hand and took a drag.
“Antonio” he breathed the smoke into my face. I coughed at the lack of oxygen and he chuckled. I stepped backwards, hitting the side of the wall. He leant down towards me and placed the cigarette to my mouth. I instinctively parted my lips to take it. Antonio’s arms leant against the wall, placing either side of my body. I was beginning to tremble from his intimidation.
“What do you want?” I mumbled. He said nothing, instead he traced his eyes down my body and smiled.
“This is going to be fun” he growled and grabbed my hair. I screamed out, dropping my cigarette and my bag. He pulled me towards the parked Mercedes at the end of the road, the same one that Leon had be thrown out off when I met him.
“Please, let me go!” I yelled and he cupped my mouth. Muffled groans escaped as I struggled to free myself. The back door opened and he shoved me in with force. I landed on a mans lap with a grunt. Before I could pull myself up, the door slammed behind me and the car started moving. Gripping my wound in pain, I tilted my head up to see a middle aged man with a dark beard glaring at me with his black eyes. He smirked and looked over at Antonio who was sitting next to me. I was sandwiched between the two of them, trapped and helpless.
——LEONARDO——
I woke up in my bed with a banging headache. Sitting up and swinging my legs to the ground, I rubbed at my temples. I hit the drugs and alcohol hard last night, it is the only thing that completely numbs my emotions. I can’t cope being without Maria. Ever since I met her, grabbing her keys in a threatening stance, I knew she was special. Every girl in that situation would have ran or screamed for help, but not Maria. Man... I’ve really f****d up this time. She caught me in the worst possible way, with my c**k buried in that whores throat. I was so annoyed that she saw me like that, I took my frustration out on her. She was right, my mum would be ashamed of me, especially since I laid my hands on her. I need to find her, apologise and grovel for forgiveness.
I walked downstairs to the kitchen and reached for some pain killers in the medicine cabinet. I took them with a glass of water and sighed.
“Feeling s**t are we?” Carlos grunted as he entered the room. I rolled my eyes at him and replied “don’t start”. He shook his head at me and proceeded into the living room. I followed him in and sat down on the couch.
“I really f****d things up last night didn’t I?” I confessed, placing my hand to my forehead. He hummed, agreeing with me senselessly.
“I need to go and see her” I stated and Carlos shot me a dirty look.
“Not until you are back to your old self and not a complete gilipollas” (arsehole). I narrowed my eyes at him and sighed.
“Carlos, I’m sorry” I apologised and he raised his brow at me.
“You’re gonna have to do better than that hermano” (brother). I sat up straight and leant on my knees.
“I shouldn’t have acted the way I did, falling into drink and drugs and then push you away. You’ve always been there for me and I was wrong” I grunted. I never say sorry, to anyone. It makes me feel uncomfortable to be in the wrong and it takes a lot for me to apologise.
“Just talk to me hermano, I’m not one to judge. You know that” he said in a softer tone. I nodded at him and glanced down at my feet. We were interrupted by Carlos’s phone ringing. He answered, his face turning serious as he listened to one of the gang members on the phone.
“Qué quieres decir con que desapareció?” (What do you mean she’s disappeared?). My eyes shot over to him in panic.
“donde fue vista por última vez?” (Where was she last seen?) Carlos growled. There was a long pause before he stood up aggressively, pacing around the living room.
“joder, quiero a todos los hombres que están buscando aquí!” (f**k, I want every man out there looking for her) he commanded down the phone and hung up.
“Get washed, get dressed, Maria has gone missing and I think it might be José” he explained.
“What?! What did they say on the phone?” I asked desperately for answers.
“One of our men found her bag and a half smoked cigarette on the floor in the ally, next to the club. Someone said they saw a man with a snake tattoo pulling her into a Mercedes moments after she left the club” he explained. The rage was difficult to contain and I threw the coffee table from his legs and smashed it onto the ground.
“f**k!” I yelled.
