My eyes fluttered open to the sound of nature, looking directly at Leon’s chest that I was laying on. I hadn’t moved from his body all night. I gazed up at him to see he was awake, staring at the roof of the tent. His eyes flicked down to mine and he smiled.
“Good morning hermosa” he said, stroking his fingers through my hair. I sighed with satisfaction and returned his greeting.
“Good morning señor”. His chest bounced as he chuckled. He used his index finger to tilt my head to his lips. His kisses were soft and gently, but soon turned eager as he leant over me. His body was against mine, still wearing the lingerie from last night. I giggled and said flirtatiously “round two?”. A smirk wiped across his face and he continued to kiss me. His hand flicked at the grips holding my stockings up and he slipped my straps from my shoulders. His body was still naked from last night, aching to feel the warmth of my bare skin. I groaned and he pulled the clothing off of my body.
“Mmm” he hummed as my top half released from the fabric. He sat back on his knees and raised my leg, pulling each stocking off with seduction. He kissed all the way from my ankle to my inner thigh, causing me to wriggle from the tickling feeling of his tongue. He was so close to my pelvis, centimetres in fact.
“Leonardo!” Carlos shouted from outside the tent. The look of surprise in Leon’s eyes were replaced with frustration.
“What?!” He yelled, anxious to continue his seductive sequence.
“Get out here! I need to talk to you” Carlos replied, the jokiness in his voice completely absent.
“Bit busy amigo” he called out, continuing to kiss at my thigh.
“You can make her c*m another time, it’s urgent” he yelled. The moment we were having had been completely destroyed. Leon sighed aggressively and kissed my lips.
“I’m sorry hermosa” he apologised and I flashed him a grin.
“It’s okay”
“We will get back to this later” he smugly said. He threw on some shorts and grabbed his shirt before exiting the tent. I sighed and took out a grey bikini from my suit case and a pair of black denim shorts. Once I had dressed myself in them, I pulled a loosely fitted white shirt over my head, whilst making my way outside.
Looking around to see where Leon and Carlos had gone, I noticed that no one was around. I narrowed my eyes and headed to the lake. After about half an hour of napping in the sun, I heard Charlotte greet me from behind.
“Hey!” She said.
“Hey Charlotte” I replied and she took a seat next to me on the edge of the peer. Our legs were dangling into the cooling water, creating tiny waves as we swung our feet in sync.
“Where are the boys?” I asked her and she looked down at her hands.
“I don’t know” she dismissed but I could tell there was something she wasn’t telling me.
“Charlotte? What do you know?” I interrogated. She was silent, for a moment I didn’t think she was going to answer me.
“Carlos got a phone call on his emergency phone he brought with him, he wouldn’t tell me what the conversation was about but it seemed to bother him” she explained.
“Who was it?” I asked.
“It was one of his informants, a spy if you like” he told me, running her fingers in her hair to flick her parting to one side.
“Well... that can’t be good” I stated and she shrugged.
“I don’t know, I try not to let his phone calls bother me. Usually, it’s just something about work and doesn’t affect us personally” she confessed. Her words gave me some comfort but I couldn’t shake the niggling feeling of danger in the back of my mind. I shook my head and stood to my feet. She looked up at me, looking for some sort of hint as to what I was doing.
“Coming in?” I asked removing my clothes to reveal my bikini. She giggled and replied “f**k yeah”.
After following my lead, we dove into the water at the same time. Splashing each other and giggling.
10 minutes later, Carlos and Leon returned from the woods, their faces were serious and full of concern. Carlos whistled at Charlotte, she immediately looked at him and her facial expression matched his, as if she could read his mind.
“What’s going on?” I asked her, narrowing my eyes. She ignored me and swam towards the peer to pull herself out of the water. My gaze travelled over to Leon, who was staring at me with his arms folded. He was furious, but what by? I hadn’t done anything wrong... was he mad at me?
“Hermosa, I need you to get out of the lake” he commanded sharply and I did as I was told. I could tell something bad had happened and I didn’t want to annoy him any more than he already was. I squeezed the excess water from my hair and made my way over to my clothes that were by Leon’s feet. I pulled up my shorts and asked him what was going on as I threw my top over my head. They were damp from my bikini but I didn’t really care at this moment in time.
“We need to leave” he stated. I frowned at him and asked him why?
“We’ve just got here Leon... what is going on?” I started getting irritable at the secrecy. He began walking towards the trees that lead back to camp and I jogged to catch up. Charlotte and Carlos were behind us and slowly disappeared from our view.
“Is this to do with what happened a month ago?” I blurted out, causing Leon to halt suddenly. He turned to me, shocked and gritting his teeth.
“What did you say?” He asked me with a slight tone to his voice.
“Last month... Charlotte said something had happened but she wouldn’t tell me what” I explained and he shook his head to dismiss my question.
“Leon!” I exclaimed and he continued to walking. I had decided to stop moving, protesting until he would talk to me about it.
“Maria, come on!” He yelled once he had noticed I wasn’t moving.
“I’m not going anywhere until you talk to me Leon...”I folded my arms and he sighed deeply.
“We don’t have time for this!” he yelled, getting more and more annoyed by my childish actions.
“Talk to me! What happened to being honest?!” I growled. He grunted and walked towards me.
“Fine, but you won’t like it” he explained and I shook my head at him.
“I don’t care... talk to me” I demanded.
“I hurt someone, someone important to the gang that killed my family. Now they want to come after me for what I did to him” he bluntly replied. It was as if he had no remorse by the tone he used.
“What did you do?” I pressed and he rolled his eyes.
“Let’s just say, I turned him into Captain Hook” he joked and chuckled sinisterly. It shook me to my core when he laughed at the fact he disabled a gang member. I gasped and stepped back from him.
“I told you hermosa, I’ve done bad things and I will continue to do bad things until I get justice” he said walking back in the direction of the camp. I didn’t know whether to follow him or not. It was too late for me now, I was completely in love with him. I couldn’t just walk away, I need to try to help him grieve properly. He’s clearly struggling badly with the death of his mother and hasn’t had anything else to focus on since it had happened. Maybe I could be his focus. I rushed after him and found him packing away the tent.
“Leon... we can get through this. I know it’s hard to forgive and forget but...”
“Don’t Maria” he snapped, raising his hand for emphasis.
“Just don’t, I’m getting justice and that the end of it” he growled. It was clear that I wasn’t going to get through to him at the moment so I helped him pack the tent.
“So why are we leaving?” I broke the tension and he didn’t raise his glance from his hands whilst he replied.
“We’ve been informed that there are people here to get their revenge. They’ve found us and I need to get us to safety” he explained. I sighed at the sudden change in events, this weekend was going so perfectly. I didn’t want it to end so soon, but I could see the worry in Leon’s face so I just kept quiet. Minutes passed and the tents were packed away in the car. I narrowed my eyes and lowered my brows.
“Where are Charlotte and Carlos?” I asked looking at the track that lead to the lake. This caught Leon’s attention and he gasped.
“f**k!” He grunted.
