13 The next morning, I didn’t want to get out of bed. Could anyone blame me? The bedsheets were burned, but the mattress was still soft enough, and the n***d man beside me had his strong arms around me. His scent was too alluring, and the memories we made last night still too fresh. In here, everything was perfect and still. Quiet. Peaceful. Once we got dressed and stepped out, the real world would come crashing down on us.
