“Why do you want a family so badly?” I asked him on Tuesday. Fisher sighed. I felt a little guilty springing the question on him today. When he’d called me after work, he’d sounded exhausted. Then he’d told me what a b***h of a day it had been which proved he was as tired as I’d thought.
