That was his wife who he had been ignoring for three years. The woman who wrapped her legs around his waist and let him release again and again in her, the woman who turned him on but could not make him stop. He heard her calling and her whispers and even the slight cries and murmurs about this awful marriage and douchebag husband.
God, no woman ever gave him so many complicated feelings! Not even his favorite Maria.
But since last night, whenever this woman walked into his sight, he just couldn’t take his eyes off her.
He just did not know how to admit the fact that the woman who he had never loved gave him so much desire and appeal. And that they were getting divorced.
"Sorry, Seles."
He just didn’t know how.

Thirty minutes later Algernon finished the shower and changed his clothes before walking in the living room.
Seles pushed the agreement to Algernon.
"Mr. Burns, what I'm asking for is nothing from you. Time waits for no one, so let's settle this quickly."
Algernon stared at her with his mind went blank.
No grief could be seen on Seles’ face. Her hair was neatly done, her makeup was perfect and she was wearing a white suit with a purse in her hand and a huge luggage beside her. Looks like she was leaving after they signed the papers.
Leaning slightly forward, he stared into her eyes. "Is this everything?"
Suppressing the anger welling up in her chest, Seles looked at Algernon and put on a naïve and cheerful look as she retorted unreservedly, "Do you want to give me more money? You're such a generous person, sir!"
"What are you giving me then?"
"I'm giving you my signature! Do you have any more complaints?"
Suddenly a burning fire started in his chest. He didn’t understand why she could talk about divorce the day after they had a passionate night when she called his name so sweetly. This woman was being utterly unreasonable!
"I want your eggs." Algernon answered directly, though he did not want this now, he just would not let her have a divorce so easily.
And she no longer wanted to negotiate with sweet words and ridicule.
"Three villas and a check for fifty million dollars, just to get rid of me and make you and Marina a perfect couple. Is there a better deal in the world?"
"And I will give you another thirty million dollars and two villas for an egg. That sounds reasonable, doesn’t it?" Algernon looked at her, knowing that she would not sell her egg even if he was offering more money.
She knew the negotiation was over. So she sighed and stood up.
"Then we'll drag it out slowly. I have plenty of time."
Seles completely ignored him, picked up her suitcase, and went out the door alone.
"I should have..."
Algernon immediately lifted his head and asked in shock, "What did you say?"
Yet Seles had already walked out of the room, leaving nothing behind.
Algernon sat in the sofa, keeping his mouth shut. His assistant walked over and said, "Mr. Burns, this is the credit card bill for this month, please sign it."
Algernon flipped through the pages which no doubt were all orders on brands and signed under Seles’ name.
But suddenly upon a closer look he found the date weird.
January 8th?
Wasn’t it the day when Seles had a fever?
She was so sick that she couldn’t even get out of her bed. How come she showed up at Hermès and spent over two million dollars for clothes and purses?
With a dark face Algernon called the housekeeper in, "Tell you, did Seles go out on January 8th?"
The housekeeper replied, "No, sir. She was in her room resting for a whole day."
"Oh? Then who has the ball to use my credit card?" Algernon questioned the assistant with a solemn face.
"Call the police, my credit card is stolen."
"Sir, no," the housekeeper immediately called it off.
He continued, "I suppose, miss Magee took your card and um..."
"But I gave this card to Seles...how did it end up with Magee?" Algernon stared at the housekeeper with a burning gaze, who murmured, "Maybe miss Magee borrowed it from her and then forgot to..."
"She forgot? Go find Magee’s signature and all credit card bills for the last three years."
Though they were two different names, everyone could see that they were written by the same person.
And for three years the signatures were the same.
So for three years, Seles had never used a single penny from him! And all the pricey stuff was bought by Magee!?
And she still claimed what a gold-digger Seles was by buying all the expansive brands while Magee herself was the one using his money!!
That was why every time he saw Seles she was wearing cheap clothes, nothing like a gold digger.
Anger was burning in Algernon’s chest as he shouted, "For three years, how come no one ever told me that?"
At this moment a skinny maid approached with her eyes lowered. "S-sir, we tried but your mother and sister stopped us."
Algernon said, "So tell me, tell me the truth."
At the same time Mrs. Burns was taking Magee out to an event. No one could stop them now.
The skinny maid continued, "Sir, I can’t stand it anymore, to be honest. Even if I'll be fired, I want to speak up for miss Seles. Your wife is really nice. Since she married into the Burns family, she has been diligent and hardworking, taking care of things at home. But despite that, Mrs. Burns always picks on her. She always has something to criticize about, like the food she cooks being too bland or too salty, or asks her to do things like cleaning the floor and the lawn that should be done by us, she's made to do them."
"Your wife accepts everything without a single word. She still wears clothes from three years ago when she first got married. As far as I know, her family often calls in asking for money, and she has to give it to her parents as support."
"Go on."
"And she treats us well. Despite that, she has never said a word about Mrs. Burns or the family. She also helped us with a lot of work and taught us the value of self-reliance, even in small tasks. Sir, your wife is truly a good person, and I hope she finds happiness." The maid said, tears streaming down her face.
Algernon stood up in burning anger. He didn't know what he was angry about, whether it was not seeing people through, not knowing that his family was mistreating Seles, or treating Seles as a gold digger and making such unreasonable demands, even forcing her to sell her eggs.
In frustration, he punched the antique vase placed in the center of the living room!
"Bang!" The vase shattered into pieces, and Algernon's right hand was covered in blood.
"Sir, you don’t have to..." the assistant sighed. "Why take it out on a vase? This costs thirty million dollars!"
"Don't." Algernon stopped the servants who were about to clean up the shards.
"Leave it there."
His eyes were filled with anger. No one dared to approach anymore. He didn't want to say anything about his family's mistreatment of Seles, but he wanted to show his attitude. The shattered vase represents both his anger and his warning.
"Where is Seles? I want to see her," Algernon said with determined eyes.
Two hours later, Mrs. Burns returned from the event with Maggie, only to find an empty hall and the shattered expensive antique vase. Mrs. Burns was stunned for a few seconds, then burst into tears.
"Damn it, who broke my heirloom? It’s from the British royal family! I’ll kill him!"
"Sir did," the housekeeper whispered.
"What's going on? Mom, my brother found out that I used his credit card..." Magee's face changed as she saw the documents and credit card bills with her signature in the midst of chaos.
"Oh, um... all those things we did..." Mrs. Burns and Magee looked around, observing the silent servants nearby, as if they understood something.
It seemed that Algernon had found out about all the rotten things they did to Seles. That was why he was so angry.
Realizing this, both of them fell silent.

As she stepped out of the Burns family, a black luxury car was waiting for her.
Justin Wilder got out of the car and gallantly opened the door for her. "Please get in, my princess."
Seeing him bowing with such a gesture, Seles couldn't help but laugh. "You're still the same."
After she got in the car, she unexpectedly felt relaxed, as if the shackles that had bound her for the past three years had suddenly been broken.
And as for that bad guy, his cold and handsome face, charming smile and deep blue eyes, from now on, were all sealed in the depth of her memories, never recalled.
Starting today, she decided to tolerate anyone from the Burns family no more and return to the independent and tough self she used to be.
Justin moved her suitcase to the trunk, and as he got in the car, he faintly felt a gaze upon him.
When he turned around, Algernon was standing by the entrance, his eyes cold, and his lips tightly pressed together.
The two had dealt with business before, considering each other as rivals.
Justin smiled at him and then got into the car.
Seles took out a compact mirror from her LV handbag and carefully touched her makeup. Her skin was perfect and smooth, and her crimson lips exuded a tempting allure. However, her attention wasn't solely on her makeup. Through the small round mirror, she caught a glimpse of the true face of the man behind her.
Algernon watched Justin get into the car, and clenched his fist, as if suppressing his anger. Otherwise, he would have rushed to the front of the car to stop her in the next second.
Dan approached him with an umbrella from behind, but he was completely unaware, his gaze fixed on the car. Dan, who had never seen him in such a state, was frightened.
That was the fire of a man's jealousy.
"If you truly cared about me, you wouldn't have let me suffer so much. Seles glanced at the man one last time through the small mirror and closed it. It was only then that she noticed a beautifully wrapped box placed next to her seat.
"What's this?"
"It's a gift carefully prepared for you by your brother me!" Justin smirked mischievously, started the car, and said, "We still have time. I'll take you to an interesting place."
Seles opened the box to find a diamond-studded black dress, a pair of high heels, and flesh-colored n****e covers.
"Do you like it?" Justin asked.
Seles touched the dress and sighed, "I've been disconnected from the outside world for too long. Even a dress like this feels unfamiliar to me."
"Welcome back to your witch world."
"When I said goodbye to the past and married into the Burns family, I never imagined that one day I would return to my previous life in this state."
"Come on, your past can only be described as legendary," Justin smirked cynically. "If Algernon knew that the company he had been competing with for years was a brand you created, it would be quite amusing."
"I hope you're just joking," Seles sat up straight, adopting the tone of an elder reprimanding a mischievous child. "My identity is a secret. You haven't forgotten that, have you?"
Justin stuck out his tongue, "Oh God, I don't remember anything now. We are just thrilled that you're back!"
"We?" Seles questioned.
"I heard that you finally got rid of that damn Burns and d**k and the gang celebrated by setting fire to a Bentley."
"Sel! Today, everyone threw a party for you at the Golden Club. Alex, Nalos, they're all here. Put on that dress, let’s celebrate for freedom from the disaster!"

The Golden Club was a private club, accessible only to members, and the staff inside had all signed confidentiality agreements. Many A-list celebrities and business tycoons came here to relax.
When Seles and the others arrived, d**k and a group of people were already waiting in a private room.
Before entering the club, she changed into the high heels and that dress, along with the cute n****e covers. Seles had a large chest, perfectly accentuating the elegant dress.
As she pushed open the door, all the eyes in the room turned towards her, and everyone was stunned.
Seles had a girl-next-door charm when she was makeup-free, but with a little bit of styling, she became a stunning beauty that captivated everyone. Her dazzling face made it hard for people not to be moved.
Justin was the first to speak up, "So, do I still need to introduce everyone?"
Seles smiled and called out the names of her former companions one by one, "d**k, Alex, Nalos, Linda..."
Being back in a familiar environment surrounded by familiar faces restored all her confidence.
The private room quickly became lively as they were all old acquaintances.
A man pushed the door open, realizing he had entered the wrong room, and quickly apologized and left.
Dick pulled Seles excitedly, "He's so handsome! Mine! That handsome guy is mine!"
Seles vaguely remembered seeing that man somewhere before, but she couldn't recall where.
When Algernon received the message, he was accompanying Marina.
The message contained a photo of Seles dancing intimately with a man. Seles was wearing a black dress, radiating a dazzling smile. Her tall and graceful figure, along with her stunning features, captivated everyone's attention. Algernon had never seen this side of Seles before.
Below the photo was the address of a club.
He furrowed his brows, feeling a surge of anger rising in his chest. They were not divorced yet, and she might already engaging with another man behind his back!
