His Unexpected Mate

chapter thirteen

Isabella

I groan a little when I try to open my eyes my head hurts.

I feel like I've been hit by a truck.

I can hear talking it's faint.

I can hear two voices. I can't make out what they are talking about. I manage to get my eyes open and then shut them again quickly cause of how bright it seems.

I try again. I turn my head to the side a little I see Clara talking with Mr. Lowe.

I try to sit up when Clara noticed me she comes towards me.

"Hey take it easy go slow .."

She helps me to sit up I lean against the headboard.

I rub my head.

"What happens?" I ask her

"You had a panic attack you passed out. Mr. Lowe found you and brought you in here.." She explains.

I look toward him he's just leaning against the wall not moving. I can't tell if he's annoyed or bored by the look he has on his face.

I quickly look away. Why did I have a panic attack?

I thought to myself then it hit me. The person at the door was Chris oh god he found me. I start to feel my heart beat faster my breathing picks up

Clara sees my face pale.

I instantly tense up.

She put her hands up.

"Hey, It's okay," she says." Your safe.."

That's all she got out before I became unraveled.

"He's found" I scream out I start to thrash about.

"He was at my door!! He knows where I am !!"

I'm full-on screaming

Clara is trying to grab my hands and my shoulder to get me to calm down but she wasn't able to. Seeing how I'm swinging my hands all over.

"Isabella, you need to calm down"

She keeps saying.

I can't hear her all I hear is my heart beating

"I can't stay here I need to leave! He will punish me hard if he finds me after I've run away from him..."

All of a sudden I feel arms go around me I'm pulled backward my back against a hard body two arms around to the front pinning my arms down against my side. I can't move all I can do is just cry.

"Shhhh," I hear close to my ear. "Calm down"

"No one is gonna hurt you here, You are safe, No one has found you, Slow your breathing down just listen to my voice."

I try to focus on what is being said to me. I can't see anything my vision is blurry from crying.

I can feel myself calming down I lean back more into the hold that I'm in.

My breathing has slowed down my heart isn't beating out of my chest.

I feel the hold loosen just a little but don't let go completely.

After a few more minutes I've completely settled down.

I had relaxed back into the hold I had my head leaning against something or better yet someone. ..

I open my eyes seeing to two big arms around me.

I can feel little tingles going up my arm. I look up to see Clara is now standing next to the bed there are a pair of legs laying next to mine.

I then realized I'm sitting between someone's legs.

I turn just a bit looking behind me to see that it is Mr lowe...

"Oh god, I'm so sorry.." I scamper out and try to get out of his hold.

He tightens his hold again and puts me back in the same spot I was in.

"Just sit here for a few before you try to get up don't want you passing out again..."

Zander

I'm sitting with her between my legs with my arms around her.

When I arrived at the farm this afternoon soon as I walked into the barn.

I was hit with a sweet smell of lavender Seth yells mate is here.

Great just what I need. I continue to walk in the barn I see Clara with a girl.

She is short with long black hair she has pulled back.

She is then very thin her clothes hanging off her.

I'm not sure if this is the human girl Nick and Sara were telling about.

As I walk up to them I can smell the lavender getting stronger.

Once I'm in from of them I can smell it coming from her.

Seth is yelling Mate .. that's Mate... I don't say anything she was looking at me but now she looking down.

"Clara.." I say she nods at me.

I clear my throat... "I'm Zander... Zander Lowe."

I reach my hand out to her.

She instantly tenses up.

I see Clara put her hand on her shoulder.

She leans in close to her. She told her. She doesn't need to be afraid I won't hurt her. Seth whimpers in my head.

"Why is mate afraid of us..."

I don't say anything I just stand there waiting.

I see her take a gulp and then look up. "I'm Isabella Davis nice to meet you." She says.

Reaching her hand out to take mine I can see her hand shaking.

I take her hand in mine. I feel the sparks shoot through my hand she must have felt it cause she pulled her hand back quickly.

She looks back to the ground.

I stand there staring at her.

Clara finally spoke she said something to her I didn't exactly hear what she said to her.

She turned to put the horse back in the stall.

"Please excuse me .." she told us as she walked out of the barn.

I didn't say anything I just stood there in my spot watching her walk away.

Seth is complaining he wants to follow her.

I tell him no we can't. he just growls at me he pulls going to the back of my mind.

I turn to face Clara she is smiling so big at me.

"What ?" I say to her.

She laughs a little... "She's your mate isn't she Alpha?"

I just sigh rubbing my temples. "Yes, I believe she is."

She squeals then hugs me... "Oh, I'm sorry Alpha I'm just so happy. you finally found your mate!"

"I don't want a mate," I say to her. Her face falls to that of shock. "What ? 'why?"

That is all she asked.

I didn't answer her .. "Look I wanted to come to see how it was working with her being here."

'If there is anything I need to be worried about .." is all I say to her.

She gives me a small smile.

"Why don't we go into the office I can tell you what I know."

We head towards the office we sat there for about an hour she told me everything that she has found out.

Seth is pacing in my head he is angry someone hurt his mate ...

I have to admit I'm just as mad how could he do that to her?

She said if I wanted to know more I could talk to her friend Mandy she's the one who brought her here.

She gives me the number to reach her.

We noticed it's been an hour and Isabella still isn't down.

Clara said she go get her I held my hand up.

"Let me I'd like to talk with her a bit."

Clara looks unsure but says okay.

I get to her door. I knock I hear movement then it stopped.

I can see through the window and curtain.

She froze she just stood facing the door then I could hear her heartbeat.

I could also smell her fear.

Why is she afraid? I start talking I kept calling her name. But she wouldn't move.

All of a sudden Seth was yelling in my head. He wanted to get into her.

Break the door go to mate she's scared she needs us.

I'm not sure why but I smashed through the door the sudden slam of the door startled her she fell back with a scream. She crawls backward crying is screaming she, is sorry not to hurt her. She backs against the wall pulling her knees up and hiding her head like she waiting for something.

I slowly walk to hear them calling her name. I kneel in front of her.

"Isabella, please calm down," I say to her

I keep my voice low and soft.

When she looks up she sees it's me. I keep talking to her keeping my hands up so she sees I'm not here to hurt her.

She starts to calm down. I ask her if I can help her stand she accepts soon as I help her up she stands in front of me, and not a minute later she passes out. I scoop her up before she goes completely out.

Just now when she woke she remembers what happen.

She starts to panic all over again Clara is trying to calm her but can't get through to her.

I'm leaning on the wall watching. I just can't take it anymore.

I get off the wall and sit behind her wrapping my arms around her and pulling her to my chest.

Whispering in her ear calming her down again.

Once I have her settled down she realizes how she is sitting.

She turns to look behind her. I see her eyes go wide when she sees me.

She tries to get up but I tighten my hold.

I put her back in the same spot.

"Just sit for a few we don't need you passing out again...."
