SADIE I had entered another universe. This was surreal. Gray meant it when he said we could simply hang out and forget about everything else for a while. My brain was short-circuiting, so I couldn’t remember exactly how we got there, but at some point, we ended up sitting on the bed together. Gray switched on the TV, turning it to a show focused on explaining everyday items’ manufacturing. It was pretty interesting. Somewhere along the line, I stopped questioning it.
