SEVENTEEN James folded an omelet over in the skillet and cooked them a little longer before he slid them onto a plate. He added the hashbrowns, sprinkled paprika over the potatoes, and touched it off with a parsley garnish. He set that plate up on the line with the one waiting and hit the bell with the spatula. Charlie met him at the window. “How’s day two going?” he asked. “I was up all night studying the menu.” “It work?” “Can’t remember a damn thing,” she said, as she took the plates from the line window. “That a girl.
