I let out a breath I was holding out as I knocked on the door. I looked down at Damien, who had a bright smile on his face.
For a kid who only had just two hours sleep at night due to packing our things, he looks so wide awake and so excited.
The door opened, and the smiling face of Patricia greeted us.
“Oh my goodness.” she exclaimed, covering her mouth with her hands.
“Grandmaaaaaa” Damien ran to her, and she bent to hug him.
“Oh my goodness, my baby, you are back. Finally. I have waited for this day to come. Finally, it's here. Welcome back, my darling baby.” she said as she hugged Damien.
