J e a n I was anxious while walking to where Dos, who was waiting for me. He said he was going to take me home and I was glad that Harry was cool about it. My heart just couldn't stop beating fast thinking about it, Dos taking me home and things were running inside my mind like what would happen after he drops me in front of the house. I played a lot of scenarios inside my mind. Dos kissing me was one of those scenarios making me shook my head. I couldn't believe that I was thinking something like that. My heart skipped a beat when I saw Dos leaning on my locker as I tried to casually walk towards him. He looked so handsome just standing there. How could someone like him takes interest with someone plain like me? Dos smiled and my knees almost gave out. "Did you wait long?" I asked as I input the combination of my locker and placed my books inside. "I didn't." Dos said, his huge smile still pasted on his lips. He looked like he was so head over heels to someone he was looking right now and it happened to be me. His stares made me blush so hard that I couldn't bring myself to look at him in the eyes. "You ready?" I nodded and Dos lead me to the motorcycles and bikes parking lot. He stopped in front of a huge black bike and grabbed one of the two helmets resting on its seat and he turned to me. "Let me help you with this." He said. "I-I can do it myself." I said but Dos didn't hand me the helmet and he insist that he would help me wear it. My mouth was opening and closing for a few times trying to protest but I couldn't bring myself to say it and still Dos helped me wore it to me. I could only mutter a thank you after and watched Dos wore his helmet on. I smiled secretly thinking how sweet and gentleman Dos was. Never in my whole life did I ride a big bike. I felt so embarrassed when I almost didn't reach on the first attempt to sit behind Dos but I was glad I made it safely while clinging into Dos' shoulders. "Sorry." I muttered and I heard him chuckled lowly under the helmet making me blush even more. "So cute." He said. *** I know that big bikes like that could run fast but looking at our speed, it seems like Dos was trying to slow down thinking that it would scare me if he goes fast which would be true. So, I was glad that Dos was being considerate about it. "What time do you usually have dinner?" Dos asked, his voice louder because the helmet was blocking his mouth and the wind also. "Around seven." I answered. "Copy that. Can I take you somewhere? I promise I will take you home before dinner." Dos said. Of course, I would love to but I feel so embarrassed to admit it immediately so I just nodded my head. "Great!" Dos happily said. We didn't stop but we slowly drove around the city, passing the city bridge that connects the downtown area and we also passed the river banks. I was amazed at the different colors of the city lights looking so beautiful as it reflects in the water. When the clock strikes quarter to seven, Dos took me home and stopped in front of the house. He helped me again with the helmet. "Thank you." I said and Dos messed my hair. "Did you have fun?" He asked. I smiled and nodded my head. "Yes. I did. Thank you, it was beautiful." Dos smiled and I shuddered when his hand slides down my cheek and gently rubbing his thumb on my cheek. I could feel my face heating up from that action. My breathing hitched when his thumb brushed at the top of my lips and Dos looked me in the eyes. I just realized that I parted my lips unconsciously when I felt his thumb on my lips. My heart was beating fast when I heard Dos' breathing and I instinctively closed my eyes. I opened my eyes when I felt Dos' lips were pressed on the tip of my nose and my eyes went even wider when Dos traveled his lips down my lips. Dos' arms circled around my waist and pulled me closer to him as he continued to kiss me. I felt so embarrassed because I didn't know how to kiss at all. My face was heating up so much when Dos pulled back and looked at me. "Will you be my boyfriend?" Dos suddenly asked and I was so taken aback from what he asked. "H-Ha?" I stuttered. Dos was about to say something when we heard the front door opened and mom went out. "Oh! Jean, you brought Dos. Dos come and have dinner with us." Mom said. *** Mom insist to let Dos have dinner with us. Dos' words were still inside my mind the whole time. I placed my hand on my chest feeling my heartbeat. I was aware that my heart was happy from Dos' confession earlier. It was quarter to eight when we finished dinner and mom didn't make me help with the dishes but attend to Dos so I brought him to my room, upstairs. Dos said that he wanted to stay for a few hours and talk for a bit. I felt awkward from his confession but I still let him inside my room. I stayed quiet as I sit on the bed and played with the pillow. Dos sat beside me. "I hope my confession didn't make you feel uncomfortable." Dos said making me turn to him. I shook my head. "I didn't expect it. I was only surprised." Dos chuckled lowly. "I guess I was too rash." "A little." "But I want you to know that I couldn't contain my feelings for you anymore." Dos held my hand that was nervously clutching on the pillow I was holding making my breathing hitched. "You noticed that I was driving slow because I wanted to spend more time with you. I didn't want to end the times that we are together." I blushed so hard hearing Dos and I did notice that he was driving slow. I thought that he was being considerate of me. But I still feel butterflies in my stomach when I heard the reason why. "You didn't hate the kiss, right?" I felt like ears heating up from that question but I wanted to be honest with Dos so I slowly shook my head. Dos bend down and pressed his lips on the back of my hand, smiling. "Then, I do have a chance, right?" ******
