Curtis and I were in the gym owned by a were and mostly all of the patrons there were werewolves from different pack lands. The gym also has a training area under ground where wolves could spar and a lot of weres were banned from entering the gym after looking for trouble.
Curtis chuckled seeing me only sitting on on of the equipment and stared blankly at the window.
"Did you came here to only sit and look around?" Curtis said.
"Yes." I said. I don't have the will to do things, I only went because Curtis wanted to go and I don't want to be left alone in the dorm. I thought I could stop thinking about my mate if I keep myself busy, but I was wrong. My thoughts were still to my mate.
Curtis sat on the other equipment in front of me. "Look, I may have a little grudge about you being mates with June but you're still my friend so let me help you."
I turned to Curtis. "You don't have to."
"Or do you just hate my preference? How can you hate Gatita? He's the most adorable and cutest— what?" Curtis stopped when he saw me glaring at him.
"Don't call my mate with that name." I said and Curtis was taken a back.
"Woah! Are you jealous that I have a pet name of your mate?" Curtis chuckled and I wanted to grab the nearest dumbbell and throw it to him.
"Should I call him? I have his number. Do you?" Curtis teased and I was trying to calm myself because Remus was also growling with jealousy at his own twin.
"Don't try me Curtis." I said and Curtis laughed but abruptly stopped making me wonder and I immediately knew why when I saw Duane walking inside the gym.
I laughed at Curtis' still face and he glared at me, his eyes were asking for help. I knew they were both in good terms because if they weren't, then the both of them should be miserable like me.
Curtis stood up and I cut him. "Don't pretend like you're going to use the rest room."
"I'm not, asshole." Curtis said and sat back down and chug his water empty just when Duane stopped in front of us.
"What a coincidence." Duane said.
"Yeah." I agreed and Curtis only hummed and looked away like a sulking pup.
I saw Duane smiled at Curtis before he turned to me and said goodbye.
"You don't want to be here, right? How about we go home already?"
I stood up and stretched my body. "Nuh, I suddenly felt like moving around. What's the rush? Don't tell me you're conscious of Duane?"
"Me? Conscious? Huh!" Curtis spat the words as if he wasn't acting like a scared pup when Duane was in front of us a minute ago. "Never. Why would I?"
I chuckled. "Yeah, why would you?"

My heartbeat suddenly went crazy when I smelled my mate's familiar scent. I could feel my blood suddenly rushing inside me and I was fighting myself not to turn around to look. Being in the same room with Duane and his intoxicating scent was enough to make my head dizzy.
I stood up and make an excuse to go to the rest room when Dos suddenly cut me.
"Don't pretend like you're going to use the rest room." Dos said and I froze on my feet.
"I'm not, asshole." I said and placed my ass where it was a minute ago and emptied my water in one gulp feeling Duane getting closer until he was already behind me.
"
What a coincidence." I heard Duane said and I looked at Dos waiting for him to answer Duane.
"Yeah." Dos said.
"Hnn." I only hummed and glanced around the gym as if I didn't know Duane.
I could feel Duane's stares on my back and it felt so heavy. I only realized that my body was so stiff when Duane finally said goodbye and walked away to do his business there. I felt relieved and I didn't want to recognized the other emotion I was feeling when Duane walked away. The place suddenly felt suffocating. I don't want to be there anymore.
I looked at Dos. It was good that he wasn't in the mood to exercise and he was only there to pass the time. "You don't want to be here, right? How about we go home already?" I suggested.
Dos suddenly stood up and started stretching his arms and hips. "Nuh, I suddenly felt like moving around. What's the rush? Don't tell me you're conscious of Duane?"
I wanted to smack Dos with the dumbbell. Suddenly, wanting to move around, his ass! I knew he was doing it because he enjoys teasing me.
"Me? Conscious? Huh!" Curtis sneered. "Never. Why would I?"
Dos looked at me then chuckled. "Yeah, why would you?"
Of course, I don't want him to what he wanted to see so I walked to the nearest Smith machine and started adding more weights on each end of the dumbbell. Dos whistled and assisted me.
I was in the middle of my exercise when someone with an exploding muscles under his tight tank top suddenly stood in front of me. To be honest, he was quiet handsome and tall. I frowned at him and stopped with what I was doing and raised a brow at the stranger.
I didn't know him and I'm pretty sure we weren't in the same pack.
"Excuse you?" I said first when the man just stood there looking at me. He smiled widely upon hearing me.
"Sorry, I was in a deep thought." He chuckled playfully. "I'm just glad that I meet you again. You and your friend." He said and turned to Dos who also stopped his exercise, placing the weights back in its place.
"I don't recall us introducing each other before." I said and the man smiled. Does he never ran out smiles?
"Sorry, we didn't. I only saw you a month ago and I really want to approach you that time but I didn't and I came back every same day every week and finally, I caught you guys." He said and I frowned.
"Wait. Wait." Dos stepped closer. "What the hell's going on? I didn't quiet catch up what you're saying."
I nodded at Dos who squared his shoulders.
"You sounds like you have a crush on my friend here." Dos said and I made a face to Dos.
The man smiled. "Can't I?"
My eyes went wide at the man in front of me.
What the f*****g hell?
Dos looked at me and I could see the mirth in his eyes and had the need to smack him.
