SAMANTHA As we entered the car, I could feel the tension between us. I was still reeling from what had happened, and I didn't know how to act around him. I wanted to ask him what was going on, but I didn't know how to start the conversation. And then, of course, Laura walked in at the worst possible moment. It was like she had a radar for these things, always showing up at the most inopportune times. The whole ride home, I was consumed by a mix of emotions.
