The blood draw only took a few moments. Sarah refused to let Case in the room with her, so he sat in the waiting room. Andrea knew what he was up to and had sent him a few texts, making sure he was okay. He told her he’d managed to get her inside. As long as the doctors were able to do their part, they’d find out the truth in a few weeks.
Sarah came out rubbing her arm. “Barbarians,” she muttered under her breath. “Can we go now?”
“Yep, I think so.” He looked at the receptionist.
“Yes, sir. We’ll get the paternity tests to you in four to six weeks,” she said with a smile.
“You’ll call me, too, right?” Sarah asked, holding her arm up as if she had been stabbed.
“Do we have your number?”
Sarah gave it to her, and she made a note on the file.
