Kiara's Point of View
It has been two weeks since Caleb got the call and the last incident on the ranch. The sheriff couldn't find anything on the caller because the phone was a burner, and he believes it is just kids messing around.
Today Tyler and Ava were going back to their home, and I wanted to go with them, but Caleb begged me to stay. So I decided to stay a few extra days but told him I would be going back to Ava's. He was not happy about that but told me he would change my mind.
I was helping Ava put their things away while the baby was sleeping when she said, "Do you mind if I went to the store and grabbed things for dinner."
"I don't mind. You can leave the little one here."
"I would love that. I could use a small break. There is pumped breast milk in the fridge."
