Two of us the car .

ZOE POV

I listened attentively as my friend talked on the phone. She was nolonger speaking in her usual tone. The tone was now completely different from what she usually uses to speak. It was clear that what ever was being said to het on the phone was not good to listen to .

My heart was pumping at a faster rate at the thought that she had got some bad news. I hated to even see her when is depressed. She is a very good friend of mine and her happiness equally makes me happy .

She continued to talk for what seemed like more ten minutes and finally hang up . At this point , tears were flowing from her eyes. They were actually red in color. She immediately stood up and moved around to my side hugging me immediately .

At this point , she yelled out as more tears flew from her eyes now.

“She is gone.”

“ she is no more.”

“My mom is dead.”

“ I no longer have a mom.”

The poor girl lamented as she wailed out . the good thing was that almost all the learners were no longer in the café so we attracted attention from only a few students who were actually still there.

“They have called me and informed me that my mom Is dead. She always wanted me to make up but I was so proud and did not give him chance and now she is no where . I am not going to see her again. It is all my fault.’’ She was actually getting out of control.

I did not know what to do for her . of course all this time I knew that Natasha always deep inside still loved her mother although she was actually always trying ti stay strong since the woman had hurt her so much . Yes , she was the mother who had given birth to her but he was not the one who was there when she was actually growing up .

But still it does not stop the bond that exists between the two . so she is still her mother . I did not know what to do as she cried more and more. I let her cry until she could not any more. This is actually when she told me about what had actually happened.

Her mother had been involved in an accident and that is how she perished. Her lawyer called asking Natasha to ne there since she is the only one relative that she had.

I could not believe all that she was saying now. She also informed me that her mother had actually divorced her husband which left her (Natasha) as the sole heiress to everything that she had , so she has to travel to Los Angeles to equally participate in the wedding .

Three years later .

“Are you sure you don’t want us to go with you ?” I asked Nats for I think the tenth time as we looked at her head to the waiting plane that is heading to Los Angeles. After getting all the information about what had happened to her mother . I had to make up my mind and call Chad to come to school and the three of us headed to the house of Natasha’s parents.

We booked the flight for her to los Angeles but up to this point she has refused to let any of us go along with her. She said that she could handle it all alone and of course we have nothing to do but to let her do as she wished.

The four of us looked at her until when she had stepped inside the plane. Chad, Natasha’s father Martha and I were all there . the only thing that we were left to do was to get back to our respective places.

“Thanks so much for supporting our daughter in this state that she was in.” Martha said aimed at Chad and I . she is really a sweet woman.

“Of course we care for her as well.” Chad said. Finally we had to say our fare well since Chad and I had to head back to school. That was actually the most difficult thing of it all. I did not know how I was going to be in the same car with all after all that had happened between the two of us.

But guess what , it was the only thing that I had to do . I had to go with him in his car since it was the one that we had used. Finally , the two left us and so I had to remain with the only person that I remained with the person that I could not tolerate at all at this time.

Finally we headed into the car that was of course parked at the side of the road. Chad moved towards the car and opened the car door for me and I got in the car. He also went around and got into the car beside me. My heart was pumping like crazy , I did not know what to expect from him. I just hoped that he did not continue with all the flirts that he had been on from today morning.

He did not begin the car as I had thought that he could do the moment he got into the car . instead he just looked in my direction and then his eyes lingered all over my face but then settled on my lips. I felt hot and bothered having his eyes linger all over my face but most importantly my lips. I quickly reminisced about how his lips were on mine just yesterday.

The truth is I did not want to think about all this more so when my best friend last her mother . I was not going to use her absence to do something f*******n once again with her boyfriend. I vowed that I was not going to do it once again.

But before any of those would stick fully into my mind, I felt a pair of lips onto my very own. I swear I froze a second or more. I could not believe what was happening …once again .
