Kaya’s pov
“Mommy! Daddy! Open the door!”
I woke up to my son’s voice. As soon as I opened my eyes, I realised that Theo was still asleep beside me and that the door was still locked. I heard Archie calling our names and banging on the door. Theo groaned and woke up.
He asked me, "Is that Archie?" I nodded my head.
He removed the covers and went to open the door. “Coming,” he said.
I checked the time. It was still early, so I waited for them in bed, as I was still feeling sleepy. Archie was used to waking up early. I usually get up sooner than he does, but last night was strange. I just wanted to get a few more hours of sleep before I went downstairs for breakfast. Because once I did, there would be so much work to take care of.
