Theo’s pov War wasn’t new to me, but the scenery that met me at the eastern border took me by surprise. Dead bodies of wolves, in both human and wolf form, lay strewn across the forest floor. Warriors were fighting bravely, pushing the enemies out of the territory. They seemed to fight with renewed passion to protect our turf. I noticed four female wolves, with whom I wasn’t familiar, fighting with our warriors—one red, one white, and the other two black and brown. From their scent, I knew they didn’t belong to Black Woods. Nonetheless, I knew who they were, and from the reactions of my warriors, it appeared to me that they all knew.
