Chapter Five

The watery daylight pushed back at the darkened edges of dawn, reclaiming the colours of day that had been washed into grey by the moonlit night. The world came back like a freshly developed photograph, every colour bright and new.  

Adithi did her daily chores. she was in a rush as she is already getting late to college. on her way to college, she saw a car get crashed badly. there is a man inside the car. his face covers with blood. she had him moaning in pain. confirming he is alive she calls the ambulance without making any delay.

the ambulance arrived in 8 minutes. she accompanies him to the hospital. the man was in his mid-fifties. But he looks young for his age. his face resembles someone familiar to her.

The doctor told her to arrange blood for him! Fortunately, they both are same blood group! she gives her blood to save him. After some time that man opens his eyes! doctor call her as the man gaining conscious. Marcella went inside and find him conscious with his wounds get dressed. when he saw her he tries to get up. she just helps him lay back. 

" uncle how are you feeling now?" Adithi asked.

his lips curved upward a little.

"I am fine ! Thanks a lot! You save my life dear! " he said.

" No thanks needed uncle! It's my pleasure! I am like your daughter. no need to thank me " Adithi smiled.

"By the way what is your name child ?" he asked.

" I am Adithi uncle " she replied which he nodded.

" such an amazing name like you! God bless you my child " he said as Marcella smiles politely.

"I never forget this help! will definitely repay you. meet you soon" he said holding her hand.

Adithi gives a curious smile and asks him to take care. she leaves from there!

Adithi's pov

"Well, what he means by that! hmm whatever " she thought.

Adithi was kind of upset as she misses the change to apologize to him. she almost spends her day at the hospital. 

meanwhile in college

The day seems to be boring.Arun almost searches her the whole college. he gets to know she is absent to college.for some unknown reason he feels disappointed. for him, it's impossible to miss her presence as he just knows her for just a day. can a girl make such a big impact on someone in such a short period? is that even possible?

" where she has gone? will anything happen to her to be absent the second day of college" he thought. he was so lost in thoughts when Siva elbowed him make him come back to reality.

" dude ! are you also missing Adithi ?" he asked teasingly.

" what? nonsense ! she is rude. how can I miss her?" Arun refused to accept.

" Yeah yeah I can see that! " he said while smiling mischievously

" shut up," Arun said look away

after college, he went to his house. he checks on his dad was sleeping facing the other side of the room. he slowly close the door. Then the stream thickens, warms, steam rises to his aching face. Though the heat brings pleasure to the shower. he closes his eyes. her face flash. he doesn't even know if he ever misses anyone in his life as he misses her. but she is no one to him. just a woman who he crushes on. crush? he couldn't believe he would say that.
