My Abused Mate

Chapter - 1

(Asheton's P.O.V)   

"Ashton's wake up, wake up, baby," mom said while shaking my shoulder.

"5 more minutes, mom," I said, nuzzling my face on the pillow and hugging it tighter to me.

"Your dad has told me to wake you up. It's urgent," mom said to me, and it was enough to drive the sleep 

away.

"What happens?" I ask while getting up and looking at her.

"He had received the call from the werewolf council. They have arranged an urgent meeting at the council. He wants you and Adam to get ready and go with him. It seems urgent," mom said to me.

"I will go, wake your brother up, you go get ready and pack your things, okay?" mom asks me, I nodd3ed my head, and she walks out of my room. I stretch myself and walk to my wardrobe, to get fresh and get ready for the meeting.

Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself; my name is Asheton's gray, son of Cole and Nikki gray, the Alpha and Luna of Crest Moon Pack. I am 20 years old and will take the Alpha position after I complete college and find my mate.

After taking a quick shower, I put my mobile in charge and start packing my bag. After that, I messaged my friend Joseph to take all the notes because I have to go to attend a meeting and explain everything after coming back home. Then, I grab my bag, charger and walk to the living room where my twin brother Adam and my father are waiting for us.

We say goodbye to mom and grandma, then get in the car. It takes 20 minutes for us to reach the airport, and now we are waiting for our pilot to get the plane ready for the journey.

"What happened, dad? Why did they suddenly decide to have a meeting?" I ask dad.

"The werewolf council said they found out why the young pups and teenagers are going missing out of the blue. They have also noticed that no of people are also missing in other areas too. So they wanted to deal with this problem as soon as possible before it's too late," dad said while pacing the floor. 

"What did they managed to found out?" Adams asks him.

"They said they wanted to discuss it, face to face," dad said to him.

"Mr. Gray, your plan is ready to broad, sir," the announcement made, and we all walk to our plane.

"You can sleep four more hours if you guys want. It will take us some time to get there. I will wake you guys up when we reach there," dad said while buckling himself. I buckle myself and close my eyes, trying to get some more sleep.

After some time, I feel someone shaking my shoulder. I open my eyes, still feeling sleepy, to see Adam trying to wake me up.

"Are we there yet?" I ask him while rubbing my eyes.

"No, we will be there in half an hour. Dad wants us to eat breakfast because it was a possibility that we didn't get time to have breakfast after reaching there," he said while passing the water bottle to me.

"Where is dad?" I ask him.

"Dad had gone in one of the suits to complete some work before the meeting," he said and pass me a food tray consist fruit chat, omelet, French toast, pancakes, and a glass of orange juice. 

After landing, we get inside the car that the council has arranged for us and go to the council place. It takes us half an hour to get there. We get out of the car to see elder Broke was standing there waiting for us with other elders.

"Thank you for coming here at such short notice, Alpha Cole," Elder Broke said, smiling at us.

"No problem, elder broke," dad said, smiling at him.

"Please go to the conference room. Minato will send your luggage to your room. We will start the meeting as soon as other alphas arrive here," elder broke said, smiling at us. Dad nodded at him and led us to the conference room.

As we enter the conference room, alphas of other packs come and greet my father, and my father introduced us to other alphas who were not there in the previous two annual meetings. Adam and I had started attending every council meeting since we turned 18. Our father makes sure that we know everyone and everything before we took after his position.

After some time, elders come with other alphas and betas to start the meeting.

"Thank you, everyone, for coming here at such short notice. As you know, from few months teenagers, especially females from different packs, had started to go missing, but now human teenagers have also started to go missing. We have also got the words from the traditional pack. Some of their pack members have seen the vampires kidnapping them," elder Ethan said to us.

"But why would they do that? I thought we had made a treaty with them," Alpha Caleb asks them.

"I thought so too, but maybe they did it because they want a rebel. I mean, it's not like it was the first time the vampires do that. They have attacked us before too, with the rogues and dark witches," Alpha Daniel of tradition pack said to him.

"But that was a long time ago. Would you mind if I ask you who had seen those vampires who kidnapped, when, and how?" dad asks elder Ethan.

"My son and his friend were coming back to the packhouse from the club when they saw two vampires kidnapping a girl," Alpha Daniel said to him while pointing his finger at his son.

"Were you and your friend drunk at that time? Why did you not tried to stop them? Are you sure they are vampires?" Dad asks alpha Daniel's son.

"What kind of question is this, Cole?" Alpha Daniel shouted at dad while standing from his place and glaring at my father, I wanted to stand up and Adam to defend our father just in case, but dad stopped us while keeping his hand over our hand and shaking his head at us.

"Alpha Daniel, behave yourself," Elder Ethan shouted at him.

"But elder Ethan, did you not see how he questions my son?" Alpha Daniel asks the elder.

"I see, and I was about to ask him about it until you interrupt it," elder Ethan said while glaring at him.

"Alpha Cole, can you explain why did you ask those questions?" elder Ethan asks dad.

"As Alpha Daniel said before, his son and his friend were coming back from the club, it was a probability that they were drunk at that time, and you know very well, how our senses work when we are drunk," dad explains to him.

"But it was very unlike for us werewolf to get drunk," Alpha Daniel protest.

"But not impossible," dad said to him.

 We all know how he and his pack as opposed to the decision of making a treaty with vampires, how do we know that they are not making this up to create doubts and conflict between us, " Dad said to the elder.

"Are you accusing me of purposely trying to create a conflict between those bloodsucker and us?" alpha Denial asks dad.

"I am just setting the facts. We all know your history with them," dad said while shrugging his shoulder.

"Why you?" Alpha Daniel shouted and about to attack dad, but elder Ethan stopped him.

"What up with this old guy? And what history are they talking about?" I ask uncle Torak who is also the alpha of another pack.

"A vampire killed his twin brother and best friend. And they also follow stick tradition, which includes not becoming friends with vampires or forming alliances with them, " uncle Torak said to us, and we nodded our heads in understanding.

"What happens if what alpha Daniel said was true, and it was all vampires doing?" Alpha Frank asks dad.

"I think we should do some investigation while keeping an eye on vampires and see what we find out," Alpha Torak suggested to them, and everyone agreed.

"And what if it was vampires?" Alpha Daniel asks.

"Then, I will talk to their king and asks him to handover those vampires who are doing this. It was a possibility that the rogue vampires are doing all this. If it so, it would be a good idea too late for them to handle it personally, instead of directly concluding," dad said to them.

"So we have decided that we will investigate about it first, and if a vampire does it, we will talk with their king, and if they did not support our decision, then we will declare war towards them. Any objection, anyone?" elder Ethan asks when everyone shakes their head. He dismissed the meeting, telling us that he will meet us after lunch to prepare a list of investigation places and the list of people who would do an investigation.
