Hope and Rylee are partnered up for a new project. Will they be able to survive parenthood? -- Chapter One- Baby? "Good morning class," Mrs Raven said as she entered her classroom, putting her suitcase on her desk. "Today I have a special news for you! You've been chosen to try out a new product." "Mrs, what's this 'product'?" a male with black hair asked. He didn't know why she was smiling at them evilly, like she was going to get them back for their behaviour throughout the year. "And why are you happy about it?" "Alex, Alex," Mrs Raven said smile still on her face as she pointed to boxes in the corner of the room. "You're going to be parents for a month!" "What do you mean we'll be parents?" a female yelled her blonde hair flowing behind her as she stood up. "You're not making any sense, Mrs R." "Jessica calm down and let me finish." Jessica and Alex just looked at each other, while she sat down. They didn't know what was going on, but they were going to find out and neither of them thought it was going to be good. "It's simple really," Mrs Raven began, "you've been selected to test out a new product; a baby doll. You know how in s*x ed you take care of a bag of flour, an eye or some doll for a week? To test your abilities as a parent and to help you prepare for any future children. I don't know the details, but there's been a breakthrough where this doll is very life-like. It'll be your baby." Students just looked at each other and an orange haired girl tried to hide in her seat. She didn't want to do this, since people really didn't like her. They thought she frowned too much and her hair was an unnatural colour. "You will partner up, boy-girl. And take care of this doll for the entire month," Mrs Raven said before anyone could say anything she continued. "I know a month is long, but I think a week is too short, since like real parents it takes time to get used to having a child. Then again, I think a month is too short. But we're doing this, since teen pregnancy levels are raising, so think of it as a lesson about how important safe-s*x is." "Mrs Raven. We have more girls than boys in this class." "Rylee, you have a good point. They'll have to be one female group," she said while counting the number of students in her class, she was sure the board had a good reason for picking her students. "So everyone pair, while keeping in mind, someone will have to pair up with a female." Rylee only ruled her eyes as the males of the class tried to be partnered with the girls they liked, and verse versa. It was a mess and she didn't want any part of it. Until one student caught her eye, a female with orange hair. "Hey, Rylee." "What now Zayden?" she asked the brunette on front of her. "No, I don't want to be your partner, I was going to ask her." "Who?" Zayden asked before Rylee pointed to the girl. He only smiled and said. "I don't know who she is, is she new?" "Don't know," Rylee said while standing up. She didn't like any of them males in this class, in fact she didn't like males. "However you better find a partner." "Don't want to end with one of the sluts, like Jessica." "I know. Have you seen how short her skirt is? My five sister's skirts are made with amount of material." "I don't think anyone else is complaining." "They want to see up it." "True, you know she'll open her legs up for anyone." "I'm surprised she's not pregnant." "See ya, Rylee." "See ya, Zayden," Rylee said before walking over to the small female. She didn't know why the girl wasn't trying to find a partner, but she had a feeling that it was a very common reason. She didn't know anyone or she was bullied. "How girlie." "Me?" the girl asked while pointing to herself. She seemed surprised that someone was talking to her. Rylee almost smiled at the girl's confused expression. "Yes you. Everyone else is almost paired up. So we'll have to work together on it." "I see... I thought you would've been working with a boy?" "Don't like most of the males in this class." "Oh." "Zayden's cool, but we'd both kill the baby." "I see..." "I'm Rylee, what's your name?" "Hope." "So your parents were hoping no teased you about you hair?" "They did," Hope said while looking at the binder in her lap. Her partnets had given up on that one as soon as she entered fourth grade and had moved to six different schools, because of bullying. "But they gave up on the idea." "I was just teasing you know?" Rylee asked while sitting in the chair in front of Hope's table. "I didn't mean anything by it." "I'm sorry." Before Rylee could say anything, Mrs Raven clapped her hands. "Alright, everyone partnered up? Good. I have to explain a bit before I can give you your 'babies'. Frist you can take him/her to school or you can let someone take care of during school hours. However you can't pay someone to look after them all the time. Like I said before, they're really lifelike and know when their 'parents' are holding them. If you aren't taking care of them majority of the time then we'll take a substantial amount from your overall grade." "Yes Ma'am," the class said while sighing. Some of the students were thinking about asking their parents to look after them, so they would get a good grade. "Alright then. Like normal babies you will need to burp them, feed them, change them and even bath them. There things are so life-like that they scare most of the teachers, but they won't be newborns. They'll be around seven months, so they'll be able to hold their own bottles, respond to their name, crawl and talk given time. From now on you'll be sitting next to your partners. Okay that's all, now line up in pairs and I'll give you the equipment, but wait for father instructions before doing anything." -- "It looks like a doll," Hope said while holding their 'baby' in her arms, while Rylee just looked at the 'gumball' thing in her hand. Rylee also had the other 'equipment' such as bottles, formula and diapers. Mrs Raven had given them another bag, while looking at Hope like she was the reason they were getting it. "Everyone know got their 'baby'," Mrs Raven said while holding a clipboard where she had the name of their pairs written down and what gender they got. "To 'activate your baby, take this gumball shaped thing and put it the baby's mouth and your baby will look like the doll. Now here's the next part: if you put a strand of your hair and your partner's hair at the same time, then your baby will actually look like if you had one in real life." Hope only looked at Rylee as she gently put the doll on the desk. She loved children and didn't want to hurt hers. Rylee just looked at the gumball thing in her hand, only taking a strand of hair off her head, while looking at Hope to do the same thing. The other girl only followed the brunette's example. Putting the gumball and hair into the baby's mouth. The doll immediately changed to a baby girl with Rylee's face shape and green eyes. While having Hope's light skin, eye and mouth shape, along with her orange hair. "Hope, she looks like you." "My children are doomed to have my horrible hair colour." "I think she's cute. Orange hair and all," Rylee said while Hope check's went red, she was a cute baby, but they would need a name for her. "And do you have any names? It's not really something I think about." "I have some," Hope said while thinking of a girl's baby name. She had some sisters and brothers, so she thought about one of their names. "How about Sydney?" "Sydney's good." "Hey Rylee," Zayden said while carrying a little boy with soft black hair and blue eyes. "Do you have any names for a boy? Kailyn and I can't think of one." "I can only think about girl's name," Kailyn said her black hair in a high ponytail and blue eyes looking at the ground. "Hope. Boy's name?" Rylee asked her partner who only went redder, now she had three people looking at her. "If you don't have one, it's cool. We can always look online." "Kellen?" Hope suggested. Playing with the ends of her long hair. She had been in this class since first term, but she didn't go looking for attention and many would just ignore her. "Kellen. Kellen," Kailyn said repeating the name over and over, until she smiled and nodded going up to the teacher to 'register' their baby's name. "We better 'register' our baby," Rylee said while looking at the baby on the table. Hope nodded and careful picked Sydney up, holding her on her right hip. "Well. At least I got a partner that knows what she's doing." "Hope and Rylee. Can I 'register' your baby after the bell?" Mrs Raven asked them. Rylee just looked at her and nodded. There was only two minutes left and Hope seemed happy enough playing with their baby. "Now everyone remember grading started the minute you 'registered' your baby." -- "Now Mrs Raven, is there a reason you wanted to see us?" Rylee asked while sitting on the table. She looked at Hope, who was feeding Sydney, even if they weren't registered. "Also her names Sydney." "So Sydney David?" Mrs Raven stated more then ask. Hope just nodded, since she really didn't have a last name. Just a middle and a first, unless Adrianna was a last name. "Good. I just wanted to know your plans, such as who gets Sydney at what time or day. Or do plan on staying at the others place?" "She can stay at my place," Hope said it would be easier if they were staying in the same place. But she didn't know what Rylee thought about the suggestion. "If she doesn't mind." "Would be easier then staying at my place," Rylee said while rolling her eyes and picking up Sydney's baby bag, with her and Hope's books. "So let's get this day over with, since I'll need to tell my parents about this and yours."
