Dark puppet masters have been haunting the streets of London for years. A group was made to get rid of the bloodthirsty criminals, ones that use human bodies for their shows. Samara Mae is part of this organisation, but she has a secret, she doesn't remember her past nor does she know what the mark on her wrist means. Until her group goes to take down dark master, Karson Gerald, that her dreams start coming together. She leaves the place she had known for five years to re-join the life she lead for ten. She was one of the people her friends were hunting down, not knowing that second dangerous puppeteer knew how their group works. -- Chapter One- Dark Puppeteer Samara looked at plan walls of her bedroom. Her bed simple, but made for those in higher classes. Eduardo loved having his 'employees' to look like they belonged in society, among those who own billions. She never saw the point, she was a dirty orphan. No matter how nice the clothes were, everyone knew her as the one who didn't remember her past. She made everyone nervous, thinking that her parents left her at ten, because they were dark puppeteers. "Samara, are you ready?" Eduardo asked outside her door. Almost everyone left behind his house, since who cared if someone from one of the lower classes disappeared, as long as it wasn't their son or daughter. "We have news about Karson Gerald, the one with almost over six hundred puppets. However, we haven't any news on the 'Rose Maiden' it almost like the person's disappeared." "Of course, do you have a location?" "Always straight to the point." "It's a waste of time to beat around the bush." Eduardo sighed. She had been like this since he found her. She never cared to get alone with the others, it was like she was raised by a puppeteer, it didn't help that she liked building small wooden puppets. "Have you made another one?" "Another puppet? Yes, she's made of wood," Samara told him while looking at her desk. The puppet that took her a month to make, it looked like an older version of herself with long red hair and bright blue eyes. Pale skin with a skinny frame, she had just finished a few seconds ago, painting her lips a pale pink. "Just because I like to make them, doesn't mean I do anything with them. I know everyone's scared of me because of it." "Yet you're able to get rid of them quicker," he said a smile on his old face. "They just don't understand you. Not that it matters, as long as you continue your duty. I don't care what you do in your free time." "I'll need to meet with the team." "Of course." -- "I remember falling out of the tree, at one of my family countries houses," a male with short black hair said. "Almost gave my Mama a fright. May her soul rest in peace and may I kill the bastard that used her body for his sick games." "Jeremy I think that's why we're all here." "Abby, you don't have to be mean about it," Jeremy said while putting his arms above his head. "We all went the bastards to pay, yes. I think the only one who hasn't lost anyone to those bastards is Samara, but who knows with that girl." "So you now know my past?" "Sorry about that Samara," Lila said pushing her brown hair out of her matching eyes. "We didn't know you were standing there and Jeremy was telling us about his c-" "Lila, I could care less." "Still as short as ever. Team we're here, because we have a mission," Cayden told them. "Now Team Seven, we're going after Karson Gerald. We have information on his location." "When will we be going?" Andy asked a cigarette between his lips. "I'm guessing we're going to his next show? It's a good thing they don't talk to each other or else they'd know who was going after them." "You and Lila talk too much," Samara said sitting down. "We're here to do a job and the means has always been the same, as well as the result." "Better than talking too little," Abby snapped. "Samara, you're the youngest here so shut that pretty mouth of yours, before you lose it." "Anyway..." Cayden said while looking at the two. "We need focus on this, no petty arguments. Abby, Samara is part of my team. Samara we know your view on how much the others talk, but that's just them." "Yes sir," Samara and Abby said at the same time. Abby sat down her blue dress flowing around her solid body, showing others that she wasn't one to be messed with. While Samara's childish body was the reason the puppeteers thought she wasn't a threat. "Good, now we have a mission to get one with and we can't tip him off." "How would he know of us?" Jeremy asked fixing his suit. "They don't talk to each other, most of them are by themselves, unless they have kids. Then those kids get their human puppets. How do they even carry them? Some of these people have more than fifty of the damn things." "Jeremy, no one knows. It's a secret they pass along to the next generation." "Of course," Samara said while slightly pulling up her glove. She never liked her birth mark, one of a butterfly, but still no one saw it so it never come up in conversation. "While they don't talk to each other. They are smart enough to know someone is after them, while they may not know who, they still keep their secrets safe." "Well... that's the most I've heard you say," Lila said a smile on her face. She was hoping the younger girl would open up to them. "It's true, so may we start?" "Of course," Cayden said. "After all we'll be removing the top human puppeteer in London and we must be careful." "Any other orders?" Abby asked. "To listen to rumours. Boss isn't happy we're not finding anything about the 'Rose Maiden'," Cayden told them while feeling his thirty seven years catching up to him. "We know nothing about her. I'm just guessing her gender, but she could be anyone."
