First mission

The alcohol that I just drank didn't do much for my nerves. I still felt a little bit shaky and a whole lot of nervousness over what's going to happen tonight. The truth is, I have never been in front of anybody other than my pack. All of the social situations when we had visitors were private parties, so no one other than the alpha and his family had any contact with them. Darien, the alpha's son and my supposed mate, was the only reason I knew anything about that in council and other species and how they are ruled. We would meet up after those parties because, as usual, he would be stressed out and need to vent and let out stem in some other ways, and I was foolish enough to agree to it. We would spend nights together and by day he would ignore my existence. I was his dirty little secret. I f*****g hated it, but he made me believe that one day he would choose me, publicly, and we would live happily ever after. Stupid, right? I should have known better, he was always a d**k, but my f*****g werewolf brain thought that we would be great together. I was so attracted to his strength and power in the pack that I never really had a chance to say no. The first time he approached me I couldn't believe it.... So we messed around for a few months, up until I turned 18 and realized that he was my mate and he turned me down and the last little bits of my world crashed. Great, just what I need tonight; memories of my previous pack and how f****d up it all was. I tried taking a deep breath and as I was releasing it, I tried to release the f*****g storm of emotions. When that didn't work, I tried to burry them somewhere deep and not touch them again, because there wouldn't be any time that I would like to touch them again or remember any of them. Before I could do eanythinglse to wash that foul taste out of my mouth, the front door opened and three men entered the house. "Mr Fisher, Mr Carmile and Mr Juniper. How nice to see you all today." Damien greeted the three elderly men. All of them looked ancient and not in a nice grandpa way. "Well, don't act surprised, you did invite us." His slow monotonical tone, that only showed how old these men were. Their whole aura sent a shiver down my spine. They all shared the same dark eyes and they seemed annoyed and bored at the same time. "Nevertheless, I am really happy to see you all here. I would like to also introduce my assistant, Lilly." The three men turned to me. Their dark gazes looked me up and down just like Damien predicted. Their eyes paid close attention to my curves and any open skin. I pushed on a fake smile and swallowed hard, trying to stop myself from throwing up or punching out this creepy old man. " What a fine flower you have here, Damien." I have been called a flower before, but it never seemed to fit me quite well and this wasn't any different. I think he tried to compliment me but he only made me feel more sick. "Thank you, Lucius. Why don't you follow me to the dining room and we can discuss business later." His fake wicked smile was plastered across his face. There was no mistaking it and I was sure that he would have these men eating out of his palm in no time. He lived up to his legend as he effortlessly led them further into the house. He walked straight through a door next to the kitchen that I hadn't noticed before. It opened to an old dining room, that, from the looks of it, could host over sixty people. The table was made from solid wood and it looked like it had been here for longer than any of the three elder men lived on this earth. Next to the table there stood red velvet chairs that reeked of royalty. This only increased my suspicion that he was a royal at one point in his life. There were five places set on the table. Three on one side, one at the end of the table and one on the other side of the table. "Gentlemen, sit down, would you like some wine?" "That would be expected." I almost rolled my eyes at his response, but Damien didn't seem to be fazed by his words. He lifted his eyes to meet mine and even had the audacity to wink at me. I knew that this was my mark to start pouring the wine in the most erotic way possible. I had to make them forget themselves enough that they would be easily fooled in the process. So, taking another deep breath, I made my way to the bar at the side of the room and brought them a bottle that Damien had picked out before. As I walked closer, I could feel their eyes following my every move. It wasn't something I wasn't used to. In the pack, I was known to be strange on a good day and the way I looked didn't help the case. The difference in appearance drew not only the attention of teenage boys, but also their fathers... and even grandfathers. That wasn't the worst part... that would come when the wife or girlfriends would come after me, for seducing them. Thats when throwing s**t at me and spreading rumours about me started. Great times... great f*****g time... "Gentlemen." I faked a smile and walked to the first of my targets for today. I slowly leaned over Lucius Fisher as I started to pour the wine into his glass. I could feel his gaze on my neck and boobs as I leaned a bit further. Lucius is the head of the council and one of the oldest water fairies. He has over fifty unregistered children that he has stashed away all over the world. He is well over two hundred years old and has around twenty left in him. His long white face was very handsome in his younger years and so it was no surprise that he fathered so many children. And if what Damien has about him is true, he really enjoys witches, so many of his children is tucked away in one or the other covenant all over the world. With all of my efforts, I splashed him a peak deeper into my cleavage and the biggest smile I could fake. "Thank you, my darling." His voice sounded a bit raspy... f**k I think he was turned on... As disgusted as I was about it, the plan was working. I then moved to August Carmile. He didn't stare at me as his colleague did. His gaze concentrated on my hand and that was no surprise, because if I understand correctly, the information Damien got about this man had a love for women's hands. There are a lot of rumours that he hires women to let him do things with their hands. Even the most experienced prostitutes find him a bit disturbing and have a tendency to deny him. And that is when his darker hobbies started... if he couldn't have the living thing.... then he would take the next best thing, a hand of a dead one. There is information that he has a room filled with hundreds of hands, most of them purchased on the dark markets and back allys... but there is talk that he has taken quite a few lives to get what he wants. There were a few of his mistress and women he admired that went missing and have been found dead.... chopped into pieces with their hands missing. What a great guy to have for dinner... Damien promised that he would deal with him himself. He had enough dirt on him that he would have no other choice than take the deal. Relieved that his glass was full, I moved to the last one. Lionel Juniper, the sleziest man of the three. He was known among women as a man that you shouldn't stay in the same room for too long, if you want to keep your honor. He was known for taking women by force and no one ever stood up to him, because he was the richest man of the fairies. Almost everyone had ties to him and most had depts that he had covered. If Damien is correct, even the world council had debts for him and that was why he had a place in the court. There was talk that he should take over or that he would take over the fairy court, but he had made no move so far and so he was my main target. As Damien put it, it would be a piece of cake to get his attention. So I tried to put as much distance between him and me as pouring his wine, but still giving him a show. As I was about to fill it half way up when I felt his hand on my ass.
