My heart was beating like crazy and I was sure that in a few moments I would pass out. At one point, even my vision started to blur, but by some miracle nothing happened. When the door was fully open, I stood in the doorway, staring at the open space behind it. The whole third floor was one big open space and from this point I could see the huge bed in the middle of the room. To one side I could make out a large closet, but to see what was on the other side, I had to step inside. My heart stopped for a moment when I stepped inside. Expecting something to happen. A security system to kick in, with sirens... or some magical trap to set in, trapping me inside or maybe even burning me alive.
