The Dulac catches his horse, mounts it, and drives Teuns quickly back through the reed marsh to the oasis. Occasionally, he edges the stumbling South African forward with his curved sabre, pressing it between his shoulders, and then Teuns would try to walk faster. But it is pure t*****e with the shackles on his legs. His ankles burn like fire, and blood seeps out. He hears excited screaming from the Dulacs when they see him approaching them. Teuns swings out of the thick reeds, and then he is near the oasis pool. He walks with very tiny steps and looks so funny that the Dulacs laugh, mocking him.
