And after the Legion police had seen that no bones were broken, they agreed to accompany the men to the military authority to relay their story there.
With the gendarme leading them, Fritz, Podolski, Jack Ritchie, and Petacci walk quickly through the dark streets of Algiers to the place where the streets become broader and better-lighted. At the military headquarters, they land up in front of an officer and briefly tell him what happened.
