Violet's POV Is that me? Why am I looking at myself? Was it raining that day? Yes it was. I saw my body lifeless on the ground in the middle of the intersection. There are so many people around me. The sirens nearby are blurred in the distance. Those red lights are so bright it hurts my eyes. Did I get hurt? Are they coming for me? I feel like air. Weightless. Like a distant feather slowly falling from the sky, watching the scene. I must have died. They are picking up my body and putting it in an ambulance. Everything is disappearing now. What will I do now? Where must I go? Am I dead? I don't understand. One minute I remember it's raining and I'm on my way home from school and the next I wake up in a foreign world. It's night time here. Seems like I have been walking for hours. It's like I'm in a forest. It's so quiet and I can see the stars. They're so big and bright. I feel like I can touch them. I heard a noise in the background, so I turned around and walked towards it. I finally may have a chance to get out of here! I saw a group of people around some light fixtures. Maybe they are camping and they can help me find a way back home? The closer I get to them, the more I can see their body figures. They are huge! And it sounds like a group of men. I wonder what they are doing all the way out here in the forest. They look like they have some type of bear or cat ears and tails. Maybe it's a costume party or something like that. I pray I haven't run into some psycho cult. I wonder what they are cooking. It looks good but raw. Why don't they roast it? It's a pity. Maybe some type of boar or large animal. I'm actually pretty hungry after walking for so long. Oh, they are walking towards the stream. Maybe I can grab something really quick and leave. They don't look too friendly. I run and grab some food while I have the chance and start running in the opposite direction of them. I hope they don't catch me. I got to a clearing and thought this was far enough away from them. But I was so wrong! I started to hear growling near me. I walked back slowly and a figure of a man came close. I see more figures next to that man and they start moving towards me. They all have tails and cat ears! OMG the psycho cult found me! I do what any normal person would decide to do and start running. How were they able to find me so fast? They were still in the stream and I made sure I kept a good distance from them. I started running towards what looked like another camp. Maybe there are other people like me who are here instead of the psycho cult. As I crept closer to the fire-like blazing figure. I finally realized it was not a fire but the sun. Why is the sun so close to this field and why is it not scorching hot? I move closer and walk towards it to touch it. "Don't touch you dumb beast. Do you know what it could do to you?' I heard a voice near me say Where is this voice coming from? I looked around the field and didn't see anything for a few minutes. I keep walking forward and walk away from the sun like figure further into the field. "I wouldn't go that way by myself if I were you." Says the same voice I looked around and finally I saw what looked like a tail swinging back and forth pointing up from the ground. Is someone there lying down on the grass? I walked towards that figure to see if I could figure out who it was. "I wouldn't come near my direction either. You never know if I can be a friend or a foe." The voice says back to me mockingly. "Why help me if you are not a friend?" I asked back. "True, that makes sense. Very well, go in the direction you were going before. But you may not like what you find there." he says, and I see the tail come down and silence. I can't go back that way. If I go the other way, those men will get me. So I have no other choice. I started to run in the other direction. I feel like I've been running for hours. My feet hurt and I started to get hungry. I dropped the meat I had in my hands earlier when I was running from that cult. Blast if I knew I wouldn't run towards a freeway I would've kept it. How long have I been here? Where do I go? Where is it safe? What should I do next? I keep thinking of what to do while I walk deeper into the forest. I think I am in a forest again or is this some type of illusion? By now I have run into a few swamps or pools of water. I hear a lot of crickets and frogs. Sometimes I hear maybe the wings of an animal above me. It's completely dark and now getting cold. I know I need to find some type of shelter for me, but where? I haven't seen any caves or big enough trees where I can lay under or in them. My feet are starting to ache and I am at the point of exhaustion. I found some type of fruit that looked non-poisonous so I started picking at it in the bushes. They kind of look like blueberries. Well, this will do. I started to hear some rustling noise in bushes near me. Did they catch up with me again after so long? That's when I saw another human figure coming closer. I didn't mean to take their food if it was theirs. I would've definitely found a way to pay them back for it. I kept running again and this time I didn't stop for a while. Now my body is completely tapped out. I can't run anymore. I sit down to take a rest on a nearby log and check my surroundings. Still cold and nothing but deep, dark forest. Since I've walked deeper, I started realizing that I barely hear any animals making noise. I just hear the little streams of water and still wings? Maybe it's safer to stay above than below. Should I go up and climb a tree? I started to walk and heard voices.
