The sound of the shower running woke Nadiya up. She blinked a couple of times and looked to the window to confirm it wasn’t still the middle of the night. The gray light filtering through the curtains told her it wasn’t. Nadiya groaned quietly. It couldn’t already be morning. Dammit. She felt like she had just managed to fall asleep and it was time to get up again. This was the second day at the beach house, and sleeping arrangements were still tense. Tense being the understatement of the day, she thought as she looked at the mountain of pillows that had divided her side of the bed from Trick’s and shook her head. At this rate, one of them was going to find themselves sleeping on the floor soon. And that would be Trick because Nadiya was not prepared for the hard floor regardless of how t
