Chapter 7 Charles watched her eat, observing her table manners. They were perfect and as he spied his daughters do the same, he confirmed further that he had made the right choice. He would like to argue that this reason, and that which he had given her earlier was why he had invited her to dine with them, but he would not do himself the dishonour of lying.
