Three days have passed with her being kidnapped and locked in this dreadful place. The only time she saw anyone was when Salma, the housemaid, bring food, that was always same and tasted awful, or a tall thin man would enter to check on her, which Salma introduced as Umair, her husband. She didn’t bother to talk to them at all except when necessary, for she knew it was useless. They can’t help her out of here. She wondered if there were other people living here or was it just them. The room where she was held captive consists of simple double bed with sight table and a cupboard. The furniture didn’t seem to be old at all. It hardly seemed used. The bed sheet was awfully soft and of good materiel. Her mind indicated her that she was not kidnapped by some street goons rather by someone who was financially powerful. Her mind was occupied with the dreadful consequences of her unwilling stay here. Outsider will always term her as some poor petty girl who was kidnapped and then must be tainted. Her parents would have to suffer so much shame. She would have to face so much shame. She remembered the horrifying tales of the poor innocent girls that were kidnapped, discussed by her mother and aunts. It was said that no respectable man marries them for they were assumed tainted .....dirty.... used..... The cheap terms used to term the victim of kidnap by society. The same society that kills the innocents and let go the criminals. Now, she was in there place and she would be also termed that way. Her fate would be similar to them and no one seems to be really willing to help her out. Her heart lurched as the dread now settled there. The fear was intensified as her thoughts traveled to the large dominating man.... He was so vile and vicious and the dangerous aura that surrounded him caused her heart to flee and hide somewhere. wild animal….!!!! Tear rolled down her eyes furiously as she desperately wanted an escape from there. Her mind making all the possible plan for escape, it could think of. She has to get out of here. She must! Ali headache had taken a serious turn. He was in no position to move his muscles. But he knew he has responsibilities to take care of. He has his job to take care of. He cannot sit at home anymore for the company pay him to work. The very company, he has lost loyalty to. K&K of Adam Khan There was no phone call since two days by kidnappers. He and his wife were dead worried about their young daughter. He felt utterly helpless and doomed. He prayed whole night for the safety of her daughter with tears rolling down her eyes. As for Abida, she hasn’t spoken a word since, she the statement he had delivered. She just continued to stare blankly with tears leaking from her eyes, her hands raised in praying manner. He picked up his briefcase and set off to the office. Upon reaching his cabin, he was startled to see it empty of his belongings. His things were no more present there. His mind wandered to all the possibilities. Oh God! Please No! “Mr. Ali ? Chief executive officer is asking for your immediate presence in his office.” A colleague, Bashir Alim, announced to him. Chief executive officer..... Adam khan? Asking for me? Dread filled his heart and he knew it was an end .His empty cabin was enough of proof. “S-sir, you called me?” Ali voice shivering, as he entered the lion’s den. The cold atmosphere of the room not helping his case. Then the steel grey eyes of the man, empty enough to swallow him. “Mr. Ali,” the calm and cold voice of equally calm and cold man reached his ears. Yet the voice was deep and dominating enough to shudder his old heart. “Y-yes Sir?” This is no good. His doom was right in front of him. This is no good at all. “Sit please!” His tone emotionless as he pointed to the sofa at the corner of large luxurious office room. Ali immediately obliged, panic flowing in his veins. His mind was a complete havoc. He desperately wanted to leave the luxuriously cold office which was every men wish to have. “You must have an idea why you are here.” He delivered his statement as he silently got up from his seat and made his way to the sitting corner. His voice again emotionless as always. His stride so powerful that Ali felt his legs trembling. Sitting on the sofa opposite to Ali, he with his cold steel eyes looked at him. “N-no sir!” Fear now visible in his tone. He looked anywhere but him. His palm sweating though the room was well air conditioned. He immediately picked up the tissue from the tissue box placed on table and wiped his face with it and then tightly held it between his hands. “C’mon Mr. Ali I am sure you know why you are here.” His cold voice cutting the tension in the air viciously. His eye as cold as his whole self. Ali’s eyes run over him, nervously. He was youngest but most capable CEO of Pakistan. He is a devil in business world and there is no escape from the devil. “S-sir...” he couldn’t think of anything else. Words were not making sense anymore. He knew it was his end and he accepted it. “Admit it damn it!” His voice rose but his demeanor was still same. As calm as silence before storm. His eye was now bulging out making him scarier. “I-I am sorry s-sir. P-Please forgive me sir please. I was blinded for the l**t of money. I-I really needed it for m-marriage of my d-daughter. I couldn’t marry her off with a respectable man without having a penny in my pocket. Sir please don’t send me to prison. I am really sorry. Please f-forgive me. Please sir!” His voice cracking as he fell on his knees, with both his hand pressed in front of him. Despair and doom etched on his face. I can’t go to prison.... nobody will marry my daughter if I was send to prison.... “And only way you could think of was by stealing from me?!” His voice boomed in the vast office. He got up from his place and walked back to the front of his table, all the while keeping the eye on the kneeling man. Who is working with 20 years of loyalty for his company now spoilt everything and to whom? Those b****y Sindhus! Picking up the blue file, he throws it his ways. The file dropped inches away from the old man, intentionally. His face paled further as he opened the file to only know it was the same file, he stole. Looking back at the powerful man furious eyes he realized, it was indeed his end. “Si-sir please don’t send me to the prison.... please I have a f-family.” He begged now almost hopeless. But the man next statement shook him to core. “I won’t.” Words heavy in air, were only now ringing in his ears. Time seemed to have stopped as his mind registered the meaning of words. I won’t! I won’t …. I won’t …. I won’t……. “Uh- thank you sir! I knew you would understand my miserable situation. I really am sorry—.” His sentenced cut off now. “Unh aah Mr.Ali not so soon for what I hold for you in the future is worst fate then the pits of prison. For it will always keep you in holes of darkness.” His ruthless statement with such cold tone made the old man eyes wider and wished for death to descend upon him. Ding Dong! The ring of doorbell brought Abida out of her thoughts. Quickly turning the stove off, she headed to door, with a wish that it would be her daughter and husband smiling outside, telling her that the previous two days were nothing but a joke. Sighing deeply, she opened the door to find the gloomy face of her dear husband with a carton in his hands. “Ali what is this?” She asked after greeting him and handing him a glass of water. “My belongings....” two words just said made her confused to no bounds. “What?” “I am f-fired Abida. FIRED!” His voice loudly cracked as he fell back on the bed. Abida mind registered the word as a frightened gasp left her mouth. What more hell is left to break out? Isn’t the previous revelations enough!” “Ali, oh God! Did they somehow come to know you stole from them? Ali?” Her voice almost a whisper, not wanting a positive answer at all. But his nod confirmed everything. A tear escaped her eye and she slowly sat down on the sofa beside him. “They know. CEO called me in his office. He knows.... but he said he won’t send me to prison for I have worked there for 25 years of my life but he f-fired me and told me no company will never ever hire me and we have to pay 20 lac as fine to the company. He said that he has stored worst for me if he is not sending me to prison!” He told her with his head low as the woman sitting beside him cried at ridiculous changes of events in their life
