Eliza was woken up by soft knockings coming from the door. She groaned and sat up. She was dozing off from her sitting position before the knocking was heard again with a soft, ‘Milady?’
Eliza sighed and got up from the bed and walked towards the door. She unlocked it and pulled it open and was met with a young girl. Maybe around her age or younger.
“Erm…hello?” Eliza said.
The girl smiled brightly and bowed slightly. Eliza waved. “Yeah, no need to bow and all that. And no ‘milady’, Eliza is just fine.”
The girl nodded without losing her smile. “Well, good morning to you too, Eliza. I’m your official personal lady in waiting and I’ll serve you in and outside this castle. My name is Alina and I’ll be in your care.”
