“I’m hired?” Abby squeaked out, a smile spreading across her face.
“You are, welcome to Collins and Walker Pharmaceuticals family.” Mr Walker said over his shoulder, “Follow me.”
Andrew who stood in the hallway tapping away at his phone, “Sir, we have several more qualified candidates that I haven’t interviewed yet.” He frowned as he looked at his boss.
“I think she’ll do just fine.” Mr. Walker said.
“I understand. Sir,” Andrew said walking off still typing away at his phone.
Mr. Walker turned heading into the direction of the elevators, Abby followed his a bounce in her step. Things would hopefully start looking up for her now that she was gainfully employed.

Drake was right, he had come into his office earlier and it shocked Owen. He had never seen his friend and lover like this. Over a girl, a girl his friend said smelled f*****g incredible, and Owen knew for himself that she did smell f*****g fantastic. He felt his mouth water as she stood next to him in the elevator. His fangs itched to descend and he fought with his demon. He wanted to pull her to him, bury his fangs in the tender column of her neck.
That would probably get him into a lot of trouble though, HR might frown on that. He didn’t even know if she knew about his world, vampires and werewolves, shifters, or anything to do with the paranormal. Owen would have time to introduce her to it. Hopefully, it wouldn’t take long for her to figure it out. He was dying to have a taste of her. She pushed her hair behind her ear and looked at him through lowered lashes, “Mr. Walker, I just wanted to say thank you.” She smiled shyly.
“Call me Owen,” he said, wanting to hear his name on her lips. Although her calling him Sir didn’t bother him either, he would prefer for her to call him Sir in a different setting one that involved her splayed across his desk. Her slacks pulled down to her ankles as he turned her ass pink with the slap of his hand. Owen watched as she bit her lower lip, looking at him, f**k. He fought down a groan, he wondered if she knew how she was making him feel.
“Yes Sir, I mean yes Owen. I’m really thankful you picked me and I promise I won’t let you down.” She smiled up at him.
He nodded, the way she said his name, he wanted to drag her to him, tangle his fingers in her hair as he pulled her head to the side. Bury his fangs in her neck, mark her so that everyone would know that she wasn’t just his secretary, but his.
“Good.” He said, his voice sounding rough to his own ears as he fought for control with his demon.
“Owen, when would you like me to start?” She asked, looking forward.
“Today, right now. Andrew will be processing your paperwork and will bring it up later for you to sign it.” He answered quickly, he didn’t want her going anywhere.
They exit the elevator at the top floor, Abby followed him to a door labeled ‘executive office’ she looks at the desk in the middle of the room. It sleek and white in the brightly lit room. He led her further back into the room to a frosted set of glass doors. To a panel in the wall that he slides it up, revealing a keypad. Owen taps out a series of numbers and the doors slid open revealing his office, its huge and the windows show an excellent view of the city. He has a leather couch off to the side framed by several bookshelves and a small coffee table. On the other side of the office is his desk with a sleek-looking computer.
The large computer chair swiveled around towards them, and Drake turned to face them. He steepled his fingers under his chin and smiled.

Abby was confused. It was the man from the elevator. Why was he sitting at Mr. Walker’s desk? He looked like he felt comfortable in the office, so she was guessing that he was someone Mr. Walker knew.
“Drake, this is Abby.” Mr. Walker said to the man at his desk, she could give the man a name now. She rolled it around her head, Drake. It suited him. She watched as his eyes trailed across her legs, to the curve of her hips, lingering on her breasts. Abby felt heat start to spread across her skin. She knew if she had a mirror in front of her, she would be bright red. The way he was looking at her made something low in her stomach coil and clench, arousal. She had never felt this feeling by having someone look at her. She tried to shake off the feeling, knowing it wasn’t appropriate to feel this way in front of her boss.
“Abby, I’d like you to meet my partner Drake Collins.” Mr. Walker said, his voice was low and had an almost purr to it. She looked over at her new boss, partners like business or lover, or was it both? She looked back towards Mr. Collins.
“Mr. Collins, Sir, it’s nice to meet you. Now that I have a name to the face.” She said smiling brightly at him. “How was your meeting Sir?”
Drake smiled at her. To Owen it looked more like he was baring his teeth. “Abby, my meeting went great thank you for asking, please call me Drake. We’ll be working closely together since Owen and I spend a lot of time together.” He said to her. His meeting had in fact gone great, seeing as it was to help Owen choose an assistant, and he was glad that Owen had chosen her.
He hadn’t told Owen that Abby was his mate; he didn’t know what his friend would think or do. Drake knew one thing though, he was hard. His c**k was hard from the brief smell of her arousal that perfumed the air, making both him and his wolf pant with need.
He looked from Abby to Owen, his friend was watching her with hungry eyes, eyes of a predator. Eyes that held the flicker of the demon that was hidden behind the cold, handsome face, “Abby, can you run across the street and get us a coffee?” Drake said tilting his head at her, he pulled his wallet from his back pocket and handed her his card.
“Get something for yourself as well, take your time,” Owen told her, his voice low and thick.
“Yes, Sirs.” She said as she walked forward, taking the card from his hand. Drake had to fight back a growl from his wolf, his wolf wanted to pounce on her, make her moan his name.
He grabbed her wrist as she started to pull away, “Drake.” He said in a tone that left no room for argument.
“Drake, sorry about that.” She smiled nervously at him, her cheeks pink, he wondered how far down her blush actually went. He could hear Owen breathe deeply and knew what they both needed.
“Black coffee for Owen and surprise me, sweetheart.” He said with a chuckle.
