I was in a soft place, my body felt heavy, but the intoxicating scent of sandalwood, ashes, and fresh winter breeze invaded my senses.
I opened my eyes and realized I was not in my room, and the place was somewhere I didn´t recognize. I tried to sit, but froze when I heard the most alluring voice… “Easy, Ava…” I turned around and saw those mesmerizing blue eyes that had haunted me for years.
My mouth went dry, and I was speechless. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, maybe I was dreaming, but when I opened my eyes, he was still there. He was handsome… manly features, a grown beard, deep blue eyes, and an edgy haircut. His hair was golden blonde, and a couple of tattoos peeked out of the sleeves of his polo shirt.
