River My cousin was lucky that I didn’t have my wolf.  If I had been whole at that moment, I probably would have ripped his head off his shoulders without a second thought.  As it was, I stepped right into his face and glared at him.  My hands balled into fists, and I was ready to throw punches even if I was sure to lose.  “What gives you the right to question my decisions, Zachary?  Last time I checked, I’m still in charge around here.” He met my gaze, arrogant and unafraid. Zach wasn’t just my cousin and the VP of the company, he was also supposed to be my beta.  He was supposed to be the first person to have my back at all times.  But instead of looking out for my interests while I was sick, he swooped in and took over my girlfriend.
