Wedding
Caroline had mentioned Alfie and Emily upcoming wedding earlier, but I brushed it off, refusing to dwell on it. What's there to dwell on, anyway? I have no meaningful relationship with either of them, and I certainly won't be attending their wedding.
Werewolves don't typically have weddings; they opt for mating ceremonies, content as long as they're marked. So why the sudden desire for a wedding? It feels unnecessary, almost like they're trying to emulate human traditions or worse, rubbing it in my face.
The news of Alfie and Emily impending union only serves to reopen old wounds of betrayal. Alfie, my first mate, callously rejected me, only to now commit to another. And here I am, returning just in time for their wedding. Why now, after all these years?
