Enough

Angelica and Vincent continued to make dinner.  Vincent seemed completely at peace while he was slicing, dicing, and creating food dished in the kitchen.  Angelica was surprised at how much he was actually doing in the kitchen.  They continued to talk and laugh until the finished preparing the meal.   "Alpha, you should go out and be with the pack while I serve the meal," she said with a smile on her face. "No, you worked hard to prepare the meal, I am going to have some of the others serve,"  he said grabbing her hand and pulling her to the dining room.  As they entered, Vincent smiled at a group of four girls.  "We have prepared tonights meal, I would like you all to serve it." "Of course Alpha," they answered in unison.   "I would appreciate it very much if you could work this into your daily routine, it isn't right for one pack member to prepare and serve every meal alone." "Of course, we would be happy to help." One of the girls answered, still smiling. Angelica felt strange as they all seemed to be watching her.  "Alpha, that's not necessary,"  she said embarrassed. "I appreciate that,"  Vincent said and lead her to his table. "I can't sit here," she said as she saw so many pairs of eyes on her.  "I really should help serve," she said trying to leave.   Vincent held onto her firmly and pulled out a chair.  "Sit, I told you that you were going to start spending more time with people your own age." Chance and Chase both looked between the two and then their eyes landed on Rosie. "It is so nice to see you again, Drew."  Chance said with a smile. "Thanks for having me again,"  Drew said with a bright smile.  "Can't stay away from Rosie here,"  he said winking at her.  She kicked him under the table in a warning. "Thank you for joining us Angelica," Chance said acknowledging the guest that just joined. "Thank you for allowing me to, Alpha King," She said bowing her head. "Of course, you are always welcome.  We appreciate all the lovely meals you prepare, as does the pack."  Chance said smiling at her. Angelica blushed, "Vincent helped today."  she said looking down. "Really?  I didn't know you cooked."  Chance said eyeing his son. "Kylie made me learn," he said shrugging. "Sounds just like her."  Katie laughed.  "She hates to cook." Chase laughed, "Yes she does."   Rosie looked at both of them, "She actually likes to cook some things.  We used to bake together all the time."  All eyes went to her.  "Never mind,"  she said shaking her head. "They would bake the desserts all the time," Angelica said with a smile. Rosie looked at her and then at the hand resting on her shoulder.  "I miss Kylie,"  she said looking back at the table. Anna reached out and took her sister's hand, "Me too." she said giving her a small smile. Ariel watched the girls and then looked back at Vincent.  She was wondering what was going on with them and seeing Vincent's hand on Angelica was making her angry. The plates were now sitting in front of the Alpha, Beta, Third, and their families.  Once they started eating, the conversations were much quieter around the room.  Rosie and Drew were talking about going to watch the movie that he had missed, annoying Vincent.  Rosie leaned over to ask her sister a question but saw her eyes locked on something across the table and followed her gaze.  Vincent was leaned close to Angelica, his hand resting on her as she stared longingly at him. Rosie did all she could to control her anger, rose to her feet, pulled the ring from her finger, and began walking out of the room.  A few people saw her gaze and tried to stop her movements.  She shook them off and slammed the ring on the table in front of Vincent, said nothing, and exited the room as gracefully as she could manage.   Drew froze and his jaw dropped for a moment.  He stared at Vincent and couldn't believe he didn't follow her.  "You really are an Ass Hole,"  he said shaking his head.  "You don't deserve her."  He excused himself and ran after her. Drew followed her scent and found that Rosie was sitting outside on the steps. "Are you ok?" he asked concerned, sitting down next to her. Complete silence followed. "I don't want to be here,"  Rosie said in a low voice, a few tears trickling down her cheek. Drew stood up and held out his hand.  "Then let's go,"  he said with a smile. Rosie stood up and took his hand.  She didn't care where he was taking her, she just needed to disappear.   "Aren't you going to go after her?"  Victor asked annoyed. "Giving her a chance to calm down,"  Vincent said shrugging. "Seriously?"  he said staring at him. Vincent got up and followed her scent, annoyed that he also smelled Drew.  As he opened the door, he saw the car backing out with Rosie staring out the window, tear stains on her face.  Where was she going?  Why was she leaving with Drew? Drew drove in silence, he stopped at a small grocery.  "I'll be right back," he said with a small smile.  He disappeared inside the store as Rosie continued to stare out the window.  She didn't realize that in the distance, Storm was watching her. When Drew emerged from the store he got into the car and handed her some food.  "Eat," he said with a smile.  Then he continued driving, he didn't stop until they arrived at his packhouse.  He opened the door and helped her get out.  "Just breathe,"  he said trying to help her through. Drew's parents quickly exited the house and smiled seeing the two.  "Rosie it is so nice to see you again."  His mother said hugging her. "Mom, she's staying for a while,"  Drew stated, taking her by the hand and leading her inside. "Is everything ok?" she asked Drew through mind-link. "No," he answered back in mind-link Drew lead her upstairs and to his room.  "Go take a shower, help yourself to my closet," he said motioning to the closet door.  "You know where everything is." "Thanks," she said nodding.
