Victor came out of the bathroom, he had brushed his teeth and headed back to Anna, she had removed her robe and gotten into the bed, the sheet pulled over her legs and she watched for Victor to return.
He returned to the room wearing his boxers, she watched as he came to the bed and climbed in. Anna could feel Victor's arms around her, she leaned into him. She loved how much stronger the sparks were now. He smiled feeling her delicate body leaning against him and held her tighter. They drifted off, feeling completely content.
They were awakened several hours later by Katie knocking on the door.
Victor opened the door and was surprised when his mother instantly pulled him into a hug. "Are you ok?" she whispered into his ear. His eyes instantly went to his mother's.
"I need you to check her," he answered.
Katie looked at him confused.
"I am, she isn't," he said moving out of the way.
"I'm fine," Anna said confused.
"Honey you are really pale," Katie said heading for the bed.
Anna was embarrassed and her face turned red. "Really, I am fine."
Katie looked at Victor for a minute, "Tell me?"
"I did something wrong, she's been bleeding since we mated."
Anna's eyes met his,
"I can smell it," he said to her questioning eyes.
"It's normal," Anna argued.
"How long ago?" Katie asked quickly checking Anna over. Panic was clear in her voice.
"About six hours," Anna answered.
"Get her to the Pack-Hospital now," Katie ordered. Katie quickly mind-linked Kylie, "Get me Jason now, Pack-Hospital." They were rushing from the residence, Chance felt the fear coming from Katie and rushed out only to see them rushing out.
"Something is wrong," he said to Alex and Lucas and quickly followed.
Once they were outside, both Katie and Victor were running at full speed to the building.
Kylie flashed in with a brilliant light with both Jason and Vincent.
"Tell me what is happening," Jason said in a rushed voice following them into the Prep room. He began scrubbing his hands as he waited for the information.
Both Victor and Vincent were told by a nurse to wait as a curtain was pulled as she hurriedly pulled Anna's clothing from her body, Anna started to protest until the nurse quickly said, "We don't have time, put the gown on." Anna did as she was told.
Katie quickly scrubbed her hands, "She's been bleeding since they mated, six hours ago. Her color is pasty and she is altered."
"s**t," Jason said scrubbing faster. "Get her into the operating room," Jason ordered,
"Just got her changed, I gave her the pills she's ready." the nurse said in a hurry as she pushed her into the operating room.
Victor and Vincent were both staring at the door, they tried to follow but Kylie told them if they were to follow they could hurt her more, so they both stopped and were pacing outside.
"You hurt her." Vincent glared at Victor.
"Your one to talk, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have had to do it."
"You didn't want to mark her?" Kylie asked surprised.
"Not yet, not like that," Victor said annoyed. "What if she's not ok?"
Inside the operating room, Katie and Jason worked quickly.
"Did we get it all?" Katie asked moving quickly.
"I think so, we need to close her. She has taken a lot of blood. Just let me do one final check." he said cutting and using the suction machine.
Katie did another check and feeling satisfied, she checked to see if she could find anymore active bleeding.
Once they were both confident they closed.
They emerged from the operating room 3 hours after they started and both fell exhausted into the chairs outside.
Vincent and Victor were immediately in front of them.
"How bad did I hurt her?" Victor mumbled out.
"It wasn't you," Katie said shaking her head. "You probably saved her life."
"He what?" Vincent asked confused.
"She had a tumor that broke, we found several others because of it."
Victor had tears in his eyes, "Is, is she ok?"
"She will be if she takes it easy." Katie answered.
