DRESS SHOPING

SILVANAS POV

"Get up Silvana youre going to be late for school" my brother Silviano yells to me through my bedroom door, "I'm coming just putting on my shoes be down in a minute" I yell back. Getting my last shoe on I run down stair and into the kitchen to see my dad reading the newspaper like always, mom placing my plate of food on the table for me to eat it before leaving to school. "You have ten minutes before we have to head to school" my brother says to me while he finished his breakfast, "fine, Im done" I say while getting up and heading to my beat up Ford truck while he walks up to me and takes my keys and tells me that he is driving which I don't mind.

On our way to the school I notice him turning and looking at me every so often and it was starting to get on my nerves, I turn to look at him and stare at him waiting for him to turn once again which he does. "Okay so what is up with you looking at me, do I have something on my face or what" I asked "No it's just that you will be turning 16 soon and you will be able to find your mate" he said, looking at him I could tell that he was sad for two reasons. The first one because he has not found his mate and the second was because I was his baby sister, and he was very protective over me since I can remember. I grab his hand as he pulled into a parking space at school "You know I will always be your baby sister no matter what" I tell him "And if you do find your mate and he doesnt treat you right you will tell me right" he asked "Yes" I said to him before kissing him on the cheek.

We get out of the car and head our separate ways, I go to meet up with my best friend Susana "Susy" for short, while my brother goes to meet up with his friends Silvestre, Mateo and Jorge. When I couldn't find Susy I just stared at my brother and his friends, I have always had a crush on Silvestre and yeah I know he is older than me by two years but a girl can dream right. "You should close your mouth a fly might get in it" Susy says snapping me out of my daze, "You should already tell my brother that you like him" she says " I will tell him if you tell my brother you like him" I shot back. We both turn towards them as they turn our way and wave at us which we also do before we walk into the school and to our locker to get our books for the day, "So are we going to the mall later today to get our dresses for my brothers party this Friday" she asked "Yeah we are taking my car right" I asked and she nodded. Once we got our books we headed to our class and we sat at our usual seats, when the teacher came in everybody went quiet and the class started.

After school we headed to my truck and we ended up waiting for my brother since he still had my keys, once we saw him, he walked with his friends towards us and handed my keys over to me. "So where are you two going" he asked "To the mall and buy our dresses for my brothers birthday party" Susy said "Can we come so we can keep an eye on you girls" Mateo asked. Susy and I both looked at each other and then at them then at each other once again "If we say no you guys are still going right" I asked "Thats right" my brother said "Fine" we both said. Susy and I both got in my truck while the boys took Silvestres car to the mall, "Lets lose them" Susy said with a smile on her face "Okay" I said, I pulled out of the school parking lot and we headed to the mall when I saw that we were going to get a red light I stepped on the gas making my truck go faster and before the guys knew it we were far away from them and we couldnt see them. Susy and I laughed as we pulled in to the mall parking lot and walked into the mall, we went into the dress shop store and started to look at several dresses that they had here but nothing caught my attention until I saw a beautiful white satin dress with a "V" cut in the front and a slit on the left side of it, I grabbed it and went to try it on while Susy kept looking for one I walked out of the fitting room and got in front of a full body mirror "Hey Susy what do you think of this one" I ask her "Wow it looks good on you, if my brother was here he wouldnt be able to take his eyes off of you" she said "You think so" I asked her "Yeah definitely" she said.

After a few more minutes the boys came in as I was walking into the fitting room to change back to my clothing, while I was changing I could hear the guys arguing on the sofa near the whole body mirror. When Susy picked her dress and tried it out she looked amazing in it, we both went to pay for our dresses and we walked out with them in hand, the guys started saying they were hungry so we all headed to the food court and we got something to eat. I sat in front of Silvestre while Susy sat in front of my brother and Mateo and Jorge sat on my left side, when we finished we headed to the cars and to the pack house where we were to stay since our parents were getting everything ready for Silvestres birthday party. I headed to the room they said would be mine until after the party and hung my dress in the closet, the party happens to be the same day as my birthday but I really didnt care I was never the party wanting type of girl I was okay with just a birthday cake and a present nothing more nothing less.
