A man’s world

Michael and I ran through the meadow as fast as we could. The blades of grass whipped past our faces, giving way to a clearing where we heard several growls coming from the group gathered at our boarder. More than a dozen strange wolves had gathered amongst the surrounding trees, never crossing, but simply waiting. Coming to a halt, my eyes quickly searched for the trainees. Sweat dripped down my forehead into my eyes stinging them before I wiped them with my camo T-shirt. Quickly assessing the wolves in our pack, it seemed as if no one was missing or injured. I felt a great weight lifted from my shoulders at seeing everyone was ok. Each and every member under me was a life I’d never take for granted. It was my job to ensure their safety. It was time to put on my big girl boss pants on.

It was only then that I dared to look at this strange group of men that threatened my trainees . They clearly didn’t care that they were naked as the day they were born. There wasn’t a single pale ass among them.

Meow! It’s not even my birthday!

Oh good lord. Down girl!

I turned back to look at my trainees, and could see some of the women drooling at their physique. Ugh!

Ignoring the overtly horny women, I scanned over the strangers to see if I could pick out the leader of the group. I was automatically drawn towards a giant of a man that towered over the rest, staring with an intense gaze at Michael. His eyes were a striking blue, compared to his tan skin and thick cropped pepper hair. He had a jagged scar stretching from his right brow to his jutting cheek bones.His defined chorded muscles and serious flinty demeanor showed he was definitely someone to be wary of. Despite his appearance I could only be amused. He hasn’t attacked or sought permission to come onto pack lands. That left no doubt, he was here to issue a challenge to the alpha.

I saw Jacob’s husky dark frame and short black hair approaching from the corner of my eye , but I mind linked the command for him to stop. His short legs pulled to a hault. We didn’t need to tip these men off to how much s**t they’d just stepped in. I looked over to Michael who waited for me to give the signal for the games to begin. This wasn’t the first time nor would it be the last. I threw him a mischievous smile and winked.

Show time.

Michael straightened while saying in a clear alpha tone so all could hear. “ I was told you are looking for the alpha. What can I do for you?”

It’s then that the mysterious behemoth smiled and stepped forward. Arrogance laced his every word like poison.

“ I am Eric, Alpha of the Black Fang pack. I’ve heard rumors about the Blood Moon alpha being stronger than ten alphas and having mysterious powers unknown to our kind. It’s also said this is the strongest pack, and that’s why you are the leader to the Scarlett Alliance. I must confess, from what I see here, I believe your strength as an alpha and pack are greatly exaggerated”

I Instantly rolled my eyes knowing exactly how this was going to go. I was going to enjoy taking this alpha down a peg or two and educating him. For now Michael would deal with him.

“ And what, pray tell would make you think that?” Michael baited him.

Eric either didn’t notice or chose to ignore Michael’s obvious sarcasm, answering with a superior grin on his face. “Clearly you have weak men if you have women warriors patrolling your boarder for you. You should be ashamed of yourselves putting women in harms way. When I take over this pathetic pack, your women will be practically begging to come to my bed and thank me for freeing them from this tyranny. We cherish our women and protect them, not the other way around. I hope you’re ready to die alpha. When I’m done I’m taking that one as my play thing.” He claimed, pointing straight at me. “ I can’t wait to take you little wolf. I will have you begging me for more.” He declared, throwing a smile and wink in my direction.

The balls on this guy! I looked over at Michael with an incredulous look and mouth gaping. Michael simply stood with his arms crossed across his chest and his hand covered his mouth to keep in his barely contained laughter. He quickly faced the opposite direction to keep his composure. Feeling absolute disgusted , I decided enough is enough. It’s high time this dude shuts up, and that was my cue. I slowly sauntered over to Michael and give him a kiss on the cheek, only to receive a loud jealous growl from Eric. Michael leaned down and whispered in my ear “ Go ninja all over his ass.”

Letting Michael wrap me tight in a fierce hug, I let that image rest in Eric’s mind for a moment. I was more than happy to let his imagination run wild. Looking straight at him, I took the center stage.“ I have a proposal for you Alpha. Since you want me to be your play thing, how about you fight me.”

Eric let out a snort before bending over laughing. He laughed so hard he held his stomach with tears streaming down his face. I simply smiled and waited for this conceited sexist pig to simmer down. Seeing as I wasn’t backing down, he looked over at Michael to confirm that this wasn’t a joke. Michael gave him a nod in turn. Eric’s smile only got wider with his reply.

“ As you wish princess. Just know you’re mine. When you lose, you will come to me and your alpha’s life is forfeit.”

I pretended to think it over and looked back at Michael to start the show. Michael nodded back in acknowledgment and started speaking loud and clear, like the ring master of a circus presenting the main attraction.

“Ok Eric, you have a deal. A one on one fight with the little lady over here. If you win, the alpha of the blood moon pack will forfeit their life. That being said, if she wins, you will join the Scarlett alliance to help against the rogue scourge and declare your allegiance to the alpha. Do you agree to the terms?” Michael asked.

“ I agree. I’ll even let the little lass pick out where.” Eric chortled. He made a mock bow and slapped my ass, making me jump. I quickly bit down on my cheek to keep my mouth shut.
