There are Seventy-eight organs in the human body and five are vital for survival, but I wonder why the 'Heart' is nefarious. Even after being diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver, Mom didn't stop taking alcohol. She has become addicted to it. And it has slowly become her sleeping pills. I emptied every wine in the house and demolished the wine cellar and I made it my responsibility to take care of my Mom. Hence, I never miss a night to go see her and sing her a lullaby to put her to sleep. Mom became a baby and I became the Loving mother. And I liked it. until I got back from work one day and I found Mom's condition has gone from bad to worse. Her whole body had turned yellowish and she was constantly itching it. Her eyes already turned whitish in a way I can't even explain and she was vomiting blood. "Doctor, why has Mom suddenly become this way? "Her condition has worsened." The doctor replied simply. "Should I have her transferred to the hospital? "No, Mr. White. Nothing can be done in the hospital. "Then, you are saying she can't make it? I asked, even though I already have an answer to that. "I can't say for how long she has to live, but I can only say that she can't live for long." I heaved a deep sigh at the doctor's words and I nodded. "So what should I do now? "Just let her spend her last days happily." I went back to Mom's room and I sat before her. I held her hand and sighed. "You are also going to leave me," I muttered and Mom opened her eyes. "That is why I want you to get married so you won't be alone after I'm gone." "But Mom...I don't even have a girlfriend, how can I just get married? "The girl you marry doesn't have to be your girlfriend before you marry her. You can marry, then befriend her." I shook my head in refusal at Mom's words and she cupped my cheek.
