I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and ready to start my day. Today I didn’t have anything planned. Luckily. I got up, seeing Shadow sleeping on the pillow happily put a smile on my face. I had plans with my mom that I was excited for. My mom was my best friend. I got undressed, and I put on a gorgeous red lace bra with a shortish skirt, sneakers, and a cute top I found at some thrift store. I brushed my hair, and I put on pink lip-gloss, and some perfume. I kissed Shadow, and she just barely opened her eyes and she stretched, closing her eyes again and going back to sleep.
I grabbed my phone, and I sent my mom a text, telling her that I was on my way to her house. I grabbed my car keys, and I walked out the door, closing and locking it behind me.
Shadow might get lonely, so I needed to think about getting a friend for her soon. I opened the car door, and I climbed inside. I started the car, and I drove off to my mom’s house. Today was just going to be quiet, as usual.
