Saturdays.

Saturday. How I loved being able to rest after such a crazy week. I was so tired, and Shadow had finally settled in as well, which I couldn’t have been happier about. This weekend I was off duty, and I didn’t have any plans other than to laze around with Shadow. Oh! And I had groceries to tend to. s**t. I looked outside the window and outside was rainy and cold. The raindrops on the window made me feel so comforted. I yawned, and I got out of bed, making Shadow let out a little meow. She wanted food. “Come on girl.” I smiled, and I walked towards my open-planned kitchen, and I got out her wet food from the fridge, and as soon as she spotted the food, she jumped down from the bed and walked towards me, first taking a second to stretch her legs. I took a spoon and I put some food into her silver bowl, and I put her on the countertop to eat, and she began to eat, purring as she did so. I think hot chocolate in bed sounded like an amazing idea, so I took a mug out of the cupboard, and I took the milk out of my fridge, and I sighed when I noticed the small number of groceries that I had left in the fridge. I needed to seriously go grocery shopping. I put the last bit of milk in my mug, and I threw the carton in the bin. I took the hot chocolate out, and I put it into my milk, stirring it. No sugar. I put it into the microwave, and I waited for the microwave to beep, and I opened it up, taking my hot mug to the bed, and I climbed under the covers. Shadow soon joined me, jumping onto the bed, and she climbed onto my pillow and went back to sleep.
