“I am going to take you to the doctor. You are not well.” I tell Luna, and she shakes her head.
“Please don’t. I am fine. I have just maybe got some food poisoning, or even a stomach bug. I am really fine, I promise.” She tries to assure me, but fails.
“Luna. You are sick. You are shaking, and you are pale. You are not fine.” I say, and she shakes her head.
“I am fine.” She says, and I shake my head.
“I will not take that as an answer anymore. Your temperature is not going down, and this medicine that I have gotten you is not working. We are going to the hospital. Now.” I raise my eyebrow at her, seeing if she decides to backchat, but instead she stays silent.
“Good girl.” I lift the blankets, and I pick her up in my arms, her arms clinging onto me as she shivers in my arms.
I take a blanket with us, putting it over her body as I carry her bridal style to the car.
I questioned whether I was really the spawn of evil, or not. Because this was even abnormal for me.
I was caring and looking after a human being. f**k knows why I am doing what I am, but I was busy doing it anyway.
I open her door, locking it with one hand behind me, walking to the car, and setting her down on the seat. I put the blanket over her, and I close the door behind her, walking to the driver’s seat, I climb in.
If my father were to get a whiff of any of this, he would send me directly to burn into hell for eternity. I put the hospital in the GPS, and I started the car, driving into the direction.
“How are you feeling?” I ask her, and she smiles weakly at me.
“I am fine… I told you that it is not necessary to take me to the hospital for a silly cold.” She mumbles, and I shake my head.
“It is clearly not a silly flu.”
Finally, I stopped the car, walking over to her side of the car, I picked her up, closing the door and walking into the hospital.
“Sir. What can I help you with?” A nurse ran up to me, bringing out a stretcher. I set her gently on the stretcher.
“Will you please call my mom? Just tell her that I am fine… I just don’t want to not tell her.” She hands me her phone, and I nod.
“She has been throwing up, and she is running a high temperature since last night.” I say, and the nurse nods.
“She will be seeing a doctor right away. Who are you?” She asks, and I stay quiet. I don’t know who I was. I surely didn’t know who I was to her.
“Just please stay out here. I will bring you news once the doctor has seen her.” She says, and I nod, taking out Luna’s phone. I go to her mom’s contact, and I call it.
“Hello?” I hear a voice on the other side of the line.
“Hi there. Luna was admitted into the hospital. She is in St Peters hospital. She is fine. She was just running a temperature, and I insisted that she see a doctor.” I say, and she gasps.
“Has the doctor seen her yet?!” She asks, and I sigh.
“No.” I reply.
“And who are you?” She asks, and I sigh.
“I am a…. friend of Luna’s.” I mumble. A friend? I don’t have friends.
“I will be on my way now. It is an hour’s drive for me. Will you keep me updated if anything happens?” She asks worriedly.
“Yes. Goodbye.” I hang the phone up.
I couldn’t be here. I had a witch to hunt. I had to find her and bring her back to my father. I am sure he is wondering where I am. Everybody knows when the full moon is.
I sigh.
“Where is Luna?” I ask the receptionist who seemed uninterested by my question, but rather she was drooling over me.
“I am going to ask again. Where is Luna?” I ask annoyed.
“Oh… sorry, Sir. She is in room sixty-nine on floor two…” She blushes red, and I shake my head.
“But… you can’t go in…” She blushes.
I ignore her, and I walk down the hall, walking up the stairs to the second floor.
To find numbers…
I walked all the way to sixty-nine, and I walked inside.
There she was, fast asleep in the bed.
“Sir, are you supposed to be here?” The one nurse who was holding a clipboard asks.
“Yes. What is the news on her? How is she?” I ask, and she sighs.
“We did a few blood tests which all came back clear. She doesn’t have any viruses, or colds. We don’t know what is wrong with her. On test results, she is perfect. There seems to be no problem with her, which is why we are struggling…” She says, and I nod.
“I see. And what is going to be done about this?” I ask.
“She is on fever medication right now. We just want to get rid of that temperature of hers, and then we will treat her anyway for her symptoms.” She says, and I nod.
“Will you please keep me updated? I have to be somewhere. I expect updates every few minutes.” I take her clipboard, writing my number on the top right of it.
“If I do not receive any updates, there will be consequences to pay.” I say, and she nods her head.
I look at Luna’s pale body one more time before I leave.
I needed to get out of here soon.
Something felt strange from within me.
Why was she so sick all the sudden? I needed to get in contact with Satan.
I walked to the top of the hospital, right onto the roof.
I put my hands together, calling out to Satan.
In a few seconds, he appeared in front of me with his wings out in display.
“Levi. What is wrong?” He asks, and I roll my eyes.
“I have a question. How will I know who the witch is? Is there any signs I must look out for?” I ask, and he smiles.
“Oh, baby brother. The witch will obviously be a female. She is going to be young. She is going to start out by being sick, and then her powers will spiral out of control. Look out for a sick young woman in this area. The sickness will include of..” I cut him off.
“Fever, pain, shivers, and paleness?” I ask, and he smirks.
“There we go. That will be your witch.” He stretches his wings out, and I sigh.
“You cannot have your wings out on earth.” I say, and he sighs.
“We are on a rooftop. No little human will notice me.” He says, and I nod.
“Can I come with you to find this witch?” He asks, and I roll my eyes.
“No. This is my job. Thank you.”
“Remember, father is getting impatient. He knows that the full moon was last night. Find the witch, or you will be watching Succubus walk down the aisle. Father is furious.” He says, and I scoff.
“The only thing that I will be watching Succubus do, is burn in the fiery pits of hell.” I wink.
“Yes, Levi. Just bring the witch home, please. I am worried for you.” He looks at me, and I laugh.
“Worried for me? As if I won’t be able to take care of myself?” I ask, and he shakes his head.
“I know that you will be able to take care of yourself. You are the strongest entity in hell. I just don’t want it to get to something like war.” He says, and I nod.
“Not to worry yourself, brother. I will be just fine. Tell father that I will bring his witch.” I say, and he nods.
“Goodbye, Levi.”
“Goodbye, brother.”
He disappears.
Now that Satan left, I can think of the real problem at hand.
My dear little Luna is the witch.
What on earth am I going to do now?
