Chapter 6

1159 Words
"Are you bored?" Lorelay asked Harold, but the man just shook his head. They were in the living room. Lorelay was sitting on the long sofa and watching a show on the big TV screen in Mr. Shein's house. Lorelay focused on the show, but she was already frowning. "He's weird. Why is he always looking at me?" she said in her mind. "Do you want me to move the channel?" The corner of the man's lips twitched when he saw how his wife reacted to his stares. She asked him almost every minute. He took a piece of paper and wrote, "It's fine. Don't bother.” Lorelay sighed and glanced at the clock. It's almost eight o'clock, but Mr. Shein is not yet home. She got up to go get some water. When Harold noticed the girl walking away, he stood up and ran into his room. He immediately removed his clothes and changed into office attire. "If Richmoon and Lee find out about this, I'm dead." Meanwhile, when Lorelay returned to the living room, Harold was no longer sitting where he had been. Fear overwhelmed her at the prospect of being alone and without company. She quickly turned off the TV and dashed upstairs to find Mr. Shein. When she opened the door, she saw her husband's silohuette sitting on his bed. Lorelay took a deep breath and relaxed. She was nearly out of breath earlier as she sprinted up the stairs to Mr. Shein's room. Lorelay smiled when she saw her husband, even though she couldn't really see his face. If Lorelay couldn’t see her husband's face, it's different from Mr. Shein cause it was very clear to him the appearance of his wife. He looked at her face. He saw the joy of seeing him and how she tried to calm herself down. Mr. Shein bit his lip when he realized that his sudden disappearance from the living room had scared his wife. He stood up and approached his wife. "Breathe. I'm here," Mr. Shein whispered to Lorelay before his wife finally calmed down and the fear in her chest disappeared. ------------ LORELAY "Did you eat already?" I asked weakly. He didn't answer. He was still wearing office clothes. Why is he here in his room? I didn't notice him earlier coming in the living room. Is there a secret door in his room? "I entered in the living room. You just didn't notice me." I laughed because he seemed to read my mind. I moved a little away from him to open the window more so that somehow the moonlight could enter his room. He refused to turn on the light. Perhaps he didn't want me to see his true face. So I'll just rely on the moonlight. "You like the moon?" I turned to Mr. Shein when he spoke. I returned my gaze to the moon and to him again. "Your room is dark," I replied, before tying the curtains. I heard his chuckles from behind. "I thought you were a selenophile." He said. My eyes returned to the moon. "The moon is beautiful, but I don't bother to wake up when there are eclipses." "What does the eclipse have to do with being a selenophile?" Mr. Shein asked . I guessed, if I could just see his face, he might be frowning now. "Shouldn't you be a selenophile anticipating the moon's nostalgic events?" I don't know why our conversation ended up on the moon. "Ugh, I don't think it's really necessary." I scratched the back of my neck as I approached him. “Let's not talk about the moon. I just want to light up your room." I heard his laugh again. I smiled at the way he laughed. It's so nice to hear. "Get dressed so you can eat downstairs. I left food on the table." I don't know, but he seemed stunned. Why? Has he eaten? "If you want, we can turn off all the lights downstairs, or I can bring the food from the kitchen to your room." I suggest "Please get me some food downstairs," he said, and I stood up to go get the food I had prepared for him earlier. ---------------- When Lorelay left, Mr. Shein took off his clothes and immediately called his friend Lee. "Shein, you called?" "Lee, is there any news about him?" Lee sighed as Richmoon listened to the conversation. Lee looked at Richmoon before responding to Shein. They were thinking the same thing. They must remain vigilant, especially since this is the only thing they can do for their friend. "He's not here right now; enjoy your honeymoon with your wife." Shein exhaled a sigh of relief when he heard what his friend said. "Is Richmoon there?" Richmoon immediately shook his head at Lee, but it was too late because Lee had already answered "yes." "Oh, tell him to hide." Richmoon swallowed hard and then fixed his gaze on Lee. When Mr. Shein hung up the call, he looked at the moon. 'I won't let him destroy the moon that I desire. I looked at her from afar for a long time. I can kill anyone who tries to get her away from me.' The door swung open. Because of the light from the outside, Lorelay could clearly see her husband's back, and he was staring at the moon. Lorelay noticed the crescent moon tattoo near his shoulder on his back. Two moons facing each other. 'It's simple, but his tattoo is lovely.' The girl thought to herself, 'His body is beautiful. I don't know why he is shy about showing his face. I feel that he is not ugly. I feel that he is handsome. From the smell, the voice, and also from the shape of his body, you can tell that he his appearance is good.' Lorelay added "Close the door." Lorelay immediately obeyed and closed the door. She put down the food on the table and then faced Mr. Shein, who was now looking at her. ‘He's witty. He didn't really turn around earlier. The light outside was not enough for me to see his face. I'm afraid to disobey him and he might kick me out of here.' Lorelay thought. Mr. Shein asked his wife, who was staring at him, "Why are you staring at me?" "I am not staring at you." Lorelay replied, turning her back on her husband, "Go eat." "I know you're staring at me even though I'm not looking at you," Mr. Shein said to himself as he watched his wife lie on the bed. I've been there, baby. "Baby, I've been following you, watching you from afar for the past ten years, and I've memorized everything about you. Don't make me fall harder; I'm going to have a hard time picking myself up like that." Those are the words that Mr. Shein wanted to say to his wife but couldn't utter.
