SOPHIE'S POV
WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE MRS RUTHERFORD DO?
" What's happening mum?" Selene inquired as she observed me struggling with the door and i looked away from the door for a second.
" It's nothing baby, I guess the key is stucked." I answered as I attempted to open the door again. Miss Lois laughed and her cunny chuckle stole my focus from the door.
"No home, no spouse, how bad can it get ahh?." She said as she pretended to be sad, as if she felt terrible for me, and after a moment, she burst out laughing.Though hurt, I made an effort to keep my feelings in check.
"Well, my dear, I presume the landlord changed the locks; that is unfortunate." She added and it dawned on me instantly why the locks looked different.
