I guess we have a deal.
Still smiling mischievously, I took my stuff and walked out of the office, followed by Max. As we walked out, he asked what I wanted to do, and I turned to stare for a while, wondering if it was necessary to divulge my intentions. I decided it wasn't, and stepped away towards the door.He appeared to have picked up on the idea that I did not want to say anything just now and followed me as we went, giving me a cynical, suspicious expression.
"It is time to put an end to this." I whispered once we exited the office. I was irritated by the recurring suspicions and speculations, so it felt like the best option was to put an end to it all as soon as possible.
