" He is at the office right now, but you can tell me anything." I said to them, anxious about what they had found out about the case. I knew all of my tricks to stall them from knowing the truth was not going to hold for long, but I figured that before they found out, the contract between Karl and I would have been done and then, even if Karl found the truth it would not matter.
" I am sorry ma'am, we have strict instructions to talk to him alone." One of the officers responded and I stared at him displeased by his comment." What did he mean that he had to talk to Karl alone?" I questioned myself still staring at them.
