Meeting a stranger

Sometimes, you have your whole objectives sorted out bit by bit, Your whole life planned and thought out. Your motives are clear, your mind fixed. But then, nature interferes, stating that It always has the upper hand, and thus, It crumples your life. The own heart betrays the mind, the body, and the own soul becomes raged with No. The same thing happened to him, And His Heart Betrayed. . . . . It was late in the night. The only light that illuminated his path was the moon. Tall trees surrounded the mud path he was traveling on, Wearing a black shirt and black pants. He had his helmet and leather gloves on, sitting on his black heavy bike. Black was not his favorite, but it made blending with the dark more easier. He sped up the bike, and soon enough he entered the city where now the street lights were glowing. The roads were wet, as it had rained a few hours ago. Seattle with its huge buildings yet abandoned near the forests. He was headed to meet the boss of his gang with the prime information he has about a rival gang. But his stupid boss is too stupid to consider that, but he was fully ready today to convince him. Not long, he heard some screams and yells, of a woman. Instinctively he turned his attention to it and moved his bike towards the source. ‘What could be wrong? Will the woman be alright? Probably a kidnapping or s****l assault going on,’ He thought as he sped up toward the source. He didn’t have time for all this but still, a good deed before his big could bring some good luck. So, he pulled out his gun from his back whilst controlling the bike with the other hand. Just as the scene came into his view, he slowed his bike and stared at the scene at the front, hiding the gun back into his pants. “Help! Excuse me, Mr…,” Yelled the woman. He rolled his eyes, Moving the bike near the girl and the dogs that were barking at her, while she was trying to jump on the trunk of her car. Street dogs! He got off and picked up a few stones from the side and hurled those at the dogs. He, never wanting to hit them directly, so with his good aim, hit the grounds next to them, to scare them away. Whining, the dogs ran away. He then eyed the girl, who was now getting off the car, looking funny. She got off and looked at him. The girl had long brunette hair, white skin, glowing in the night, red cheeks, and big olive-brown eyes. She was wearing a viridian green top and brown shorts, with high boots. Looked like she was returning from a party. He averted his eyes to her car. and then he turned and walked back to his bike. “Hey! Sir…,” She called behind him but he didn’t stop. “I am talking to you, Black Shirt!” She yelled again running behind him. Squinting his eyes he stopped to look behind and as he turned the girl bumped into him. “What the fu…,” She balanced herself and took some steps back. “I need your help!” She looked up at him. Up close he could see her eyes were giving a shade of hazel. “The dogs won’t come back!” He said. She was surprised by his voice, So deep and raspy. Although he was wearing a helmet and she couldn’t see much of his face but the body he carried around, was hot, she could see the muscles flex as he moved his arm. Breaking from the charm, she said, “No, no, no, not the dogs, I…My tyre got punctured, Can you change it?” She looked hopeful as she smiled lightly at him. He frowned at him. “I don’t have time!” She frowned. That was rude. “It won’t take that long, I am alone and I need to get back home, please, My phone is dead too,” She pleads making a puppy face. That always works on his dad and his uncle so it can work on this guy too. A lone girl, in the middle of nowhere, right when he was about to get done with his mission. Is this a trap? Or is she really that naive? “You realize, I am a stranger Right?” He asked, carefully observing her expressions. ‘Is this a trick question?’ she thought. “Yes…,” She said. “And you are telling me all this, An invitation to easily kidnap or probably kill you,” Her eyes widen, Not in her wildest dreams she can think of getting killed and standing in front of a stranger men, and him saying this so calmly, makes a shiver run down her spine. “I…I just need help!” She says, gulping, taking a few steps back. “Besides, if you were a bad person, you wouldn’t have saved me from the dogs,” He looks at the girl who is constantly annoying her. “I am getting late, Miss. So, if you will excuse me,” He turns. “I have never seen a person this rude,” she scoffed. But she decided in her mind that if anyone is going to change the tire of her car, it will be him, no matter what. When she needs something, she will do everything in her power to get that. Even if that involves constantly annoying her father. He sits on his bike, but the girl had other plans. She pulled out the key from his bike, hiding it in her hand. “Are you a kid?” He said calmly. “Change my tire and you can have it,” She had a smirk on her face. He gets off his bike, swinging his leg over it with a charm. “Give it back,” He held out his leather-clad hand. “Change the tire,” She frowned, “Would it cost you so much to help a woman? I wouldn’t have annoyed you if I had any other option than being eaten by a wild animal,” In a blink of a second, he pulls her arm, swirls her around, pulls her hand behind her back, and squeezes thus she loosens the key and he grabs it. She yelped in pain. “What the hell,” She yelled as she straightened up to stand straight. “Learn to behave!” He said. “Please, If I had another option I would have never forced you, But there is no one in sight, I am alone and My father would be worried at home, He really cares for me,” “Look, if you really don’t have enough time. Then at least explain to me how it is done, and I’ll do it myself,” She said. Her forehead creased in desperation. He had studied her face far enough to know she was not put there for him, and she was desperate for anyone to help her. Now that he mentions a father that might be worried, he looked at the watch on his wrist. It was almost midnight. And he found himself agreeing with her. Probably the thought of her father getting distressed. “You have a spare tire?” He said. The girl smiled brightly. Her shoulders relaxed. “Yes,” she said. He moved his hand to the helmet and removed it, his muscles flexed as he did. As he removed it, she took a deep breath. ‘Oh, Dear Lord!’ She thought. Damn! He is devilishly handsome. Dark hair with soft curls, disheveled due to helmet, with contrasting dark blue eyes, long lashes, and a chiseled jaw covered with light stubble. One that could be felt rough if touched with a hand. He should be illegal as soon as possible, she thought. Thank god, she convinced him to help her, at least she saw this face she would never forget. He, ignoring her gape mouth, moved to the car. It was an Audi RS6 “…my name’s Eleanor,” she told him. He ignored her and opened the trunk and pulled out the tire, taking it to the flat tire in the front. Then he comes back and grabs the lug wrench and Jack from the car. “What’s your name?” She asked again. Still no reply. Eleanor keeps on looking at him, and his muscles clench and relax. He clunches down and loosens the wheel nuts, he then lifts the car with the jack and removes the nuts from the wheel. Then replaced with the new one. Meanwhile, she rubs her arms around herself and bit her lip. She hated that she had to bother such an arrogant man, but she had no option. Running from the party without bodyguards was not a good idea. Especially when the party was in a distant farmhouse. The road was empty, and the forest was close by. Her father would be so angry. The thought made her shiver. He then went to place the tire back in the trunk and closed it. The nut from the vibration of the car slipped on the road and came running down. He saw as Eleanor stepped on it and she was about to slip when she grabbed him. He tried to catch her and balance himself at the same time but she slipped due to her heels and slippery road after the rain. and fell upon the mud puddle. He sighed, grabbed the nut from the ground which caused her to slip, and walked by her side and continued what he was doing, grabbing the nuts and tightening it to the wheel. She, sitting in the mud, looked at her clothes all dirty. And hurried herself up. She was now boiling with anger. He, instead of grabbing her and saving her from falling, didn’t even help her up from this puddle. She hated arrogant people. And this man was one of them. “No one taught you any manners, right? You! I grabbed you for help but you didn’t help me, instead let me fall. And then you didn’t even have the mere politeness to offer me a hand. I have a punctured car with dogs ready to eat me, Then you twisted my hand, being the ill-mannered pig you are, it’s still hurting and now because of your inattentiveness, this nut slipped, and then I slipped. After all these stupid things You did, YOU DIDN’T HAVE THE COURTESY TO HELP ME UP, YOU CORN FACED CARROT,” All the anxiety she have been having from the past hour her car had broken down, along with her phone being missed, The anger of her father. And everything else led her to burst upon a stranger who was just trying to help her. Corn-faced Carrot?! She’s creative, He thought as he was done with his job. He stood up. “Oh, You don’t even have anything to say now?” She said, her face red from all the yelling she did. “Were you talking to me?” He said, now turning his attention to her. She, now getting more vexed, stomped her foot to the ground. “Ughhhh I hate you!” “My pleasure,” Just as he put his helmet on, He saw a car moving in their direction. The car slowed down when she approached them. He gulped, fearing it was all a trap. Just a small mistake and he lit a fire to years-long planning. He will be caught? What peeked his anger, was the car. And to whom it belonged. The Vitale Enterprises. His forehead creased more and more. He clenched his hands. Cautiously he takes his hand behind his back, to pull out the gun if needed to. A man, who must be in his late thirties, in professional attire got out of the car. “Miss Vitale,” He called out addressing the Girl next to him. “Mr. Vitale is worried for you, Your car was stopped on this desolate road for an hour, Are you okay?” The man eyed him, looking him from head to toe. “How do you know my car was parked here, Joseph?” Miss Vitale seemed confused and surprised. “Trackers!” He simply answered. “What?” She asked, “You have trackers in my car?” “Mr. Vitale does. He is worried-,” “Worried about my safety, yes, I know,” She scoffed, wrapping her hands around her torso. She was angry. “And who might you be?” Joseph asked. “My tire got punctured and this guy helped me change it,” Miss Vitale answered when he didn’t. “Are you sure?” Joseph asked. “What? That my tire got punctured to that he helped me? Because; Woah! I have eyes,” She said narrowed eyed, “Stop treating me like a freaking teenager,” She said and opened the car door. “Thank you. It means a lot for your help. Although it was really a waste of time,” She smiled sadly at him and sat in the car with her dirty clothes “You need money?” Joseph turned to the man. Rolling his eyes, he walked away from the car to his bike and sat on it. He waited as the car started, and disappeared from sight. Only then he rode away. These people, what else could be expected from them but money always wandering in their minds? Money is all they ever think about, He thought as his mind flashed some old memories. . . . .
