Chapter FourAt breakfast the next morning when Sita was alone with her uncle in their sitting room, he seemed to be in a good temper so she asked, “What do you think, Uncle Harvey, about Mr. Blunt’s idea of Home Rule for India?” Sir Harvey stiffened. “Have you been listening to that intolerable windbag?” he asked sharply. “I suggest you find something better to do with your time.” “You think it is a mistake?” “I think Blunt is off his head,” Sir Harvey replied angrily. “He is trying to make trouble and God knows there is quite enough of it here already.” Sita wanted to ask what trouble there was, but thought that it might annoy her uncle even more. Then he went on, “The Viceroy is almost as bad with his ideas of Indian Judges being allowed to try Europeans.” “You do not approve?”
